Big factory-like room with direct view in the brewing facility. It is a bit loud, but otherwise a fine place to enjoy the beer. Food is also served (plates for other tables looked really enticing), but we only tried the beers.
Lovely open interior with wooden beams and a skylight letting in natural light. 3 of their own beers on tap, reasonably priced. A nice surprise after the reviews below. There are tables and chairs outside now and free wifi

Only 3 beers available ..
Nicely done interior , but for a sunny day to damn dark . No clue why they dont use theolir terras . Service was very friendly and fast , but dont seem to know that much about the beerscene at all .
Prices are high . Their own beer is more expensive than bars that sell their beer .
When I was here , a tourguide was explaining some stuff . Mostly on how small they are ( calimero , sounds familiar ?) did not hear anything about quality or passion at all , than again , i did not hear the full speech .
All and all , good location with great interior . Now lets just work on quality , availability , passion , prices and an outside ..
Service tofay was extremely enthousiastic / knew way more .
They have an outside area now ( thnx to Deanso i know and therefor returned ) . It makes a really fun place to sit now during a good weather day . Def way better !
Still not much beers available here , unfortunatly ( 3 atm ) which makes staying around tough if you had rnough of these 3 . Also pretty average styles in belgium , so not thŠt interesting .
Bit dissapointed by a place that cries out for passion and craftmanship and manual labour , that they tap with a machine ( the kind that you press thd button and a certain amount of cl get out . Fully outomatical , and not a worthy system for any beerplace imho . Same as using aditives in beer ... It certainly turned way better . Yet not a beergeekplace for me just yet . Lets keep an eye on this and see how it evolves in the future ?

This was in the middle of a long day of bar hopping around Antwerpen with tour guide Matt Rooney (who makes an excellent tour guide by the way). It was here that we ran into two people that we ended up hanging out with for the rest of the evening. One of those guys was this crazy German bastard named Uli who blends lambic and does a pretty good job of it. The other guy was an aussie living in Portland who spends most of this time on beeradvocate. The company was good. The service was passable, especially for Belgium. It was very hands off. We got our drinks at the bar and carried them to one of the tables. Luckily they do flights here. The beers are all pretty mediocre with the blonde being the best of the bunch (in my opinion, clearly not in the rest of Ratebeerís opinion as evidenced by the low score) and the worst being the Nen Bangelijke. Prices were high, naturally. Aside from the company I think the best part of the place is the layout of the building. Itís very open and has a nice bar in the back. There is a large staircase going down to the bathrooms. Over all itís a nice set up, they just need to make better beer. Canít comment on the food as we didnít eat anything.
Would I return here? Probably not if I was going out of my way for it but Antwerpen is a beautiful town and there are some good bars here as well as plenty of other sites to see. I suspect that Iíll at least be in the area again sometime and will probably stop in for some ticks.
Quite an odd place Ė located maybe not in the very centre but in a very nice area. Surprisingly big with lovely new architecture on the inside, spacious, glass, exposed brick, smoking area, really beautiful bar etc. Very nice but also very few clients Ė this appears to be the rule which makes the size of the place weird. The beers themselves were obviously suffering from issues & badly made, pretty much everything they make appears to be infected. It is rather hard to drink their stuff. It is very obvious. Only 3 Ė 4 beers available, they sell only their own beers. Maybe a matter of point of view because when I asked as to what they have they replied something like ďlots of stuffĒ. Their beers are also available to take away in big bottles. They have a more extensive menu of Belgian dishes, often prepared with their own beer which you luckily cannot taste. The food was not all that good in my opinion and overpriced. They appear to be aiming at a higher class establishment here but I was not sold on it. They service was a bit weird Ė might have been because of me. I wasnít to trilled & they were expecting me to clearly drink more beers, eat longer etc. I think that I will not be bothering them in the future. I have no idea whatsoever how a place this big remains alive.
This would be more of a destination if it were (a) nearer to the center or (b) made more interesting beers. Sadly itís a long hike for a couple of very safe, decidedly boring beers. Worth mentioning that the atmosphere is nice enough -- exposed brick, candlelight, shiny brewkit -- and that food appears to be the main thing.
Fairly large brewpub in the southern part of town. Wasnít crowded, just took a seat at one of the tables near the bar. Three house beers on tap at the time, none were very good, but I guess they were alright. Not someplace Iíd need to go back to.
