La Compañia Brewpub Cuenca

This is a pretty good venue in central Cuenca. It has a small range of independent craft beer which although isn’t fantastic, is pretty good especially for the bargain basement prices. For me the Nitro Stout was the pick of the taps. We just had a snack and it was fine but service was good on a fairly busy Friday night.

This brewpub has about five or six of its own beers available, but not much else in way of selection. Still, the prices and value are pretty good in terms of beer in Ecuador, and the beers they make are decent, though they do not stack up against international competition. The brewpub had a lively atmosphere with many interesting seating arrangements and levels, and the service was fine. The food I had was good, though I did not try much.
