(Visited 10/2013 during Cleveland Beer Week): ABC The Tavern is located in Ohio City on West 25th. Metered street parking is available in the surrounding area, as are a couple lots and garages.

The interior has a divey charm, with brick walls and a black ceiling with simple incandescent lights. The L-shaped bar is on the left side. Taps are visible behind the bar, and there is a cooler as well along with a couple TVs. Red walls, and "ABC" spelled out in tiles. There are chalkboards displaying specials and beers they carry. I was there to try the Buckeye / Ohio Brewing Cherry Delight collaboration beer. Aside from that they carry other Ohio breweries like Brew Kettle and Great Lakes, plus some craft brewers such as 21st Amendment, Founders and Revolution, along with some macros. Many bottles in the cooler, including selections from Great Lakes, Bell’s, Sierra Nevada and Brooklyn.

Service during a busy Friday evening was decent. I was helped pretty quickly despite the crowd.

I did not have any food on this visit.

All in all I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to visit here given all the other great breweries and bars in the neighborhood, but it’s alright for what it is.

Been here numerous times but never thought to add it, coming here on a Saturday night can be interesting as usually the bar is packed but still the staff is always quick. Selection is vast but turnover can be an issue for bottles, rarities need not apply fair prices for draft beer and bar bowling... What’s not to like? The hipster crowd that can be there

This is a typical dive bar. Dark, dingy, small, etc, but has a surprisingly good tap list and a nice selection of bottles and cans. Food is pretty eclectic and good for a pub. Definitely not what it appears to be and a good place to hang for a couple hours. Prices are on the cheap side so that’s another plus.
