80 Visited with Terje 27.11.22. A cosy, characterful and friendly local pub. Four ales on cask at my visit. The pub is decorated with old uniforms and military memorabilia. A burning log fireplace at our visit. No TV. They had free buffet of pies and bums on Sunday lunchtime. Their kitchen is open on Wednesdays. |
66 As the name suggests this thin corner pub has a historic decor dedicated to past British warfare - land and sea. It's decorated well and is cosy enough. Split level, the small bar serving real ales and ciders is squeezed into a small front area after you enter. The upper rear has less than half a dozen tables and a sofa also in place. |
70 Such a characterful pub. Great interior living up to the Artillery Arms name. Half a dozen beers on handpull. Good value too. The banter at the bar is always interesting. |
62 Nice cozy bar. Some fresh ales from smaller breweries on tap. |
76 I agree with Mr. Bman here, I really like the Artillery. An often changing selection of a good choice of well kept beer. Interesting locals, really great service, even though there is usually only one person behind the bar. A proper boozer. They still do a meat raffle too! |
78 Old fashioned pub 5 minutes walk from the center of town. Has 6 ever changing ales on handpull that are always in top condition. You are always going to find one or two beers from The Ramsgate Brewery on in here as well. In my opinion one of the best real ale pubs in Thanet. |
