Visited Saturday 7/2/2016. It claims to be a bottle shop in a supermarket but in my opinion, itís a bottle shop. Located downtown, parking might be tough to get. We managed to find a metered space. Neighborhood might not be quite as bad as in some of the earlier reviews, at least not during the day. An incredible selection here, both of domestics and imports. Tons of bottles. Staff wasnít friendly, and bottles werenít very organized - I found one type of beer in three or four different locations. Despite this - because of the incredible selection - I have to give this place high marks. A must stop.
Visited several times during my 8 days in San Diego in Jan/Feb 2017. Located close to my hotel for the first two nights, Holiday Inn in a rather deserted area, at least on a Sunday evening. The selection was really good with all kind of beers, both domestic and international. A must visit when in San Diego.
A legit shop located in what looks like a crappy market. Crazy selection with loads of good beers, even some hard to get stuff (which you pay up for!). Prices otherwise are fine. A must hit if youíre in downtown SD.
Very good beer shop, located in a rather "sketchy" area of downtown San Diego, where some might not really want to walk around. But the selection is great, largely arranged by style. Several vintages, and one could put together nice verticals of, say, Eclipse, for a hefty price. Most people will find many new beers here. Probably the best store downtown.

Bottleshop inside a supermarket. Awesome selection of brews classified by type. The prices arenít cheap, specially for the non-American beers.
Visited here at night and itís located in a neighborhood with a lot of homeless people. Itís fine for guys but wouldnít want to bring a girl here.
The selection is large and well organized. Some rare Mikkeller stuff here and there.
The staff is generally friendly and was kind enough to give me a cardboard box to hold my beers once I paid.
As for ambiance, the store is literally located inside a neighborhood supermarket.
This is a small grocery store with a top selection of beer. The warm bottles tend to be organized by style and the chilled stuff is sorta thown in there. Many of the tags are wrong, in the wrong spot, or old- so make sure you read the tag carefully so the prices donít surprise you at the register. Prices did tend to be a touch high on most items, and very high on the rarer stuff, but overall Iíd say it was about what I expected. Lots of cold packs of cans and bottles. Local and long distance stuff available. This is a very good beer store. Lots of goodies for all tastes (including BMC lovers). Definitely worth a stop.
