66 The food here is excellent. If you are brewery hopping in CoMo you should eat here. The beers are just okay, not a huge selection but value was good and service was very friendly. Don’t come here for just the beers but if you make a whole meal out of it you will not be disappointed. |
86 Most of the beer is good, but not outstanding, but the Oil Change Oatmeal Stout is an excellent example of the style...smooth and very drinkable. The food is a great value, as would be expected in a small college town. Don’t expect to be able to walk right into the place on Mizzou football weekends as one and a half hour waits are not uncommon...one of the downsides of being located in the home of one of the most exciting and competitive college football teams in the nation. Go Tigers!! UPDATE: This place just keeps on improving. The beer is better than ever before and the food is outstanding. Highly recommended. |
80 Nice large patio. Great spot to grab some food and a beer. Check it out: https://ynda.wordpress.com/2016/05/28/flat-branch-pub-brewing/ |
70 I tend to get the pretzels. Beer always seems to be solid. Not great, not bad. Average prices. 10 or so beers on tap. No complaints. |
78 Excellent food. Very busy, with extended wait. Server was very nice and efficient. The beer was rather unremarkable. |
78 Very cute place just off the main drag of downtown Columbia. About 12 of their own taps. First one I'm having is the Katy Trail Pale Ale which is pretty solid. Food menu looks good - sandwiches, burgers, pizza and entrees. Just ordered the ribs. Service has been good so far, and prices seem reasonable. Definitely recommend! |
72 This was my favorite stop in Columbia during my last beer tour there. Pretty solid beers along with good service and decent food. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Columbia. |
82 Flat Branch is a Columbian institution for a reason. If you arrive there and don’t have to wait, you immediately get ushered into the building, which is very spacious with high ceilings. Also, the way the space is organized is very nice, but the lighting can get awkward. If you go there once it has gotten dark, there are tables that are in the shadow and some tables that are in the spotlight and directly underneath low-hanging lights; however, you can sit outside in a very pleasant vine-fenced patio if it is nice enough to do so. I’ve never had a bad service experience here, but the business does lend itself to some issues with speed but not quality (on any given Friday or Saturday night, you will have people willing to wait an upwards of an hour just to be seated). There is a great variety of food that even the pickiest of eaters can find and enjoy something on the menu; I’ve had the pulled pork, the fish and chips, the pizza, the burgers, and others and have not once been unsatisfied with what I received despite not being blown completely away. Furthermore, the beer they have generally covers a great spread of styles on their 12 taps, but their beer tends to be on the malty side of the spectrum. |
76 Stopped by for dinner on a Thursday evening. Very crowded, 20 minute wait. Service was good, server knew her beers. 12 beers Flat Branch on tap. 6 year round, and 6 rotating. Beers were average and above. Worth a visit. Nice college town pub. |
