Airport bar with fancy decorations to look like a palace. Beer selection is mediocre, but at least you cannget something different than Heineken. Paulaner, T’Ij, Affligem and Grand breweries were available.
The tap selection consisted of Paulaner, Ciney and of course Heineken at our visit. We bought a couple of bottles instead. The IPA was old, but the ’t Ij Natte was pretty good. We paid 10 euros for the two beers, which isn’t bad at all for an airport.
What do I expect from an airport bar? Pricey and poor beer selection. Well, this is not the worst by all means. Nice to end my Amsterdam trip with a Brand Bock (Dubbelbock) from tap. Also some bottles in the fridge from Affligem and ’t Ij. Remember: only bad beers on board KLM. (Visited November 20th 2016)
Typical airport bar at Shipol under the big Heineken flagship. Nothing special, overpriced macro, over priced food, only worth the trip if you really are desperate for a beer in which case you can have a good one by ’T IJ.
Loud, crowded, not fun.
(Visited April 2013) Good beer café and restaurant at Schiphol Airport. Looks like a traditional beer café with a large bar centrally located and tables around. Service is friendly and fairly efficient. Beer selection is ok, but hardly exceptional. Heineken brands (including Affligem and Brand) and a couple of good Belgian beers. Food is good, but not really cheap. The best watering hole at the airport.
