56 A typical German bier stube. We got there early before lunch and there were just a few locals there at that time. The visit was worth the time as the beer was really good. At that time just 2 kinds of beer but well brewed and very enyoable. |
66 On the road from Burgebrach to Ampferbach, just beneath the "hilltop", are located two Kellers. First, closer to the road, comes the "Max-Keller" (contract-brewed beers from Mönchsambach). A bit larger and shadier is the beautiful "Herrmann-Keller" with an ancient wooden skittle-alley . Kellerbier from the wooden barrel and bottled Weizen are available. Worth a Little journey... |
70 On the south side of the road from Burgebrach just before Ampferbach. Large, terraced, tree-covered grounds. It began to storm as we arrived, so we sat at a table huddled under the long roof. Kellerbier from daft was so-so, somewhat simple, a bit watery. Weizen from bottle quite good. From the ratings, the Kellerbier seems to be well-liked, so perhaps this one is due a return visit some day. |
86 Situated on the road from Burgebrach to Ampferbach.
The most relaxing place to have a summer time beer iin the Steigerwald region (west of Bamberg). Beer comes from wooden casks. Pick the right place to watch the sun going down. |
