Large place, restaurant on one side, bar on the other. Brewery visible in the middle. Well-worn vibe, full of families. Service was radically inconsistent. Some were super-helpful, some were not helpful at all. All very friendly. 8 beers on tap, ranging several styles, none too imaginative. Beers were overall decently executed and drinkable. One or two had minor flaws, and if anything, the beers tended to be a touch too sweet. Did not try the food. Flights for $1 per sample. Worth stopping by before Cognition.

Nice brewpub I visit every couple of years on travels in the Upper Peninsula. Average food, average beer, friendly service.

Tucked behind a couple of other businesses directly off the highway, it has a cabin appearance from the outside. The inside looks like any regular bar lounge with lots of local high school ’flare’ on the walls and a cozy up-north feel. Service was prompt and friendly. 6 or 7 beers on tap on the day I visited and they had a member mug club that sounded very worthwhile for the price. The 3 brews I had were average at best. Food menu had a decent selection with a couple local items, such as ’Yooper Sliders’. Worth a visit if your passing through the area but nothing I would recommend going out of my way for.

This place cracks me up. It’s so stereotypically Upper Peninsula, it’s basically a family restaurant and NASCAR lounge blended with some mediocre-to-poor microbrew. From the drop ceilings to the stained booths to the local mining americana on the walls, this place is 100% Yooper. Service was fine and friendly. I missed hearing the word, Yous guys. The menu is really bland and has a lot of meat on it. There are samples and all the prices are fair. Even if the beers and food aren’t a draw, this place is worth visiting because of how well it captures the middle-american Upper Peninsula version of a brewpub.
