Located in the old church this brewpub offers unique interior. However the atmosphere didnít seem that beer oriented, it had a bit corporate feel to it. Service was very good, was offered samples and got the recommendations. Selection is good, mostly Jopen beers which are good, but nothing too exciting. If in Haarlem worth checking out.
A spacious and nice brewpub in a former church. High ceilings and nice glass mosaic windows. Long and modern looking bar with brewing equipment easily visible. Many families were visiting this sunday, not many hard core beer drinkers at the bar. One exception, I worked my way through the tap list, focusing on Jopenís hoppy beers. Aahh, tasty beers and super fresh! A small pour is 15 cl. The bar was well staffed but service varied from indifferent to really nice and talkative. The latter a young man who seemed to care about craft beer. (Visited November 20th 2016)
The place looks nice in a former church even if you can get more the modern feeling of a new brewpub than being in historical building.. Said that Iím not a big fan of jopen beers but here I had the chance to have some new ( for me ) beers so itís a place that worth the visit indeed .. Mostly Jopen beers on tap and some guest by bottles .. Good place

Visited on a sunday morning, early midday. It was not very busy at that time. Beautiful modern interior. Normal tap selection with some pretty high prices.
The place has a unique ambiance. It is very special to be dining in an old church between the brewing kettles. The place is very crowded, however the deck were dinners is served is a little more quiet. The chart offers a wide selection of beers. However, some of the beers werenít available. At least, that was what the waitress said. The following morning i went back to buy a glass and i saw the fridge filled with the beer wasnít available. This is disappointing. Also the waitresses werenít to fast with bringing the beers. The food however was served quickly and was very tasteful. The beers that were suggested fitted the dishes perfectly. All in all, it was a nice evening. The food was good, the beer was nice and the place itself is perfect. The service however fails on some points. This gives room for improvement.
Visited on a cold windy day so everyone was sitting inside, place was crowded in every corner. I was expecting more of their beers on tap, especially their recent collabs, instead taps were offering their standard assortment that I could find at my local liquor store. Bottle selcection was no different either. prices on the high range if you think they offer their own beers. Service was okay, I didnít interact much except for ordering. Iíd skip next time Iím in Haarlem.
visit the jopen church just before we went to the uiltje bar. the place is really special, loved it how they turn a church into a big brewery and bar. however. their draft list is pretty boring. their award winning IPA (mooie nel) is not even from draft??? most people where drinking wine or coffee aswell. pretty weird atmosphere. didnít order any food.
Church with red light and modern interior. A busy and commercial bar with food and beer. Ofcourse a focus on their own beers and mostly other local microbrews. Food was alright, prices are within normal range but definitely not cheap. Close to the Uiltje Bar, which is more interesting for some more adventurous beers.
Visited on a Friday afternoon with some christmas festivities going on. Lots of space with a bar/cafť on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor. 18 different taps, all of them were by Jopen, including a lot of seasonals and one-offs, but some of the taps had the same beer. You can order a tasting plank with three beers but the price depends on the beers you choose. Still rather pricey, as well as the normal glasses. Friendly and attentive staff, although the knowledge regarding beer varies. I didnít check the food, but I would recommend to go there at least once just for the atmosphere.
