A bit out of the trodden path, this is probably one of the most authentic places in a town where authentic is the general way of doing things. A couple of not very large rooms with large tables, a corridor with some place for standing visitors and a front garden. Fairly quiet and not very loud, even when it?s busy. Decent beer and food, and definitely worth while visiting.
Came a wednesday about lunch time at two, easy to find a place in the nice spacey Biergarten.
I bought a Festtagsweisse in the hole in the wall at the entrance.
Ordered schweinekotelett. Both food n beer delicious. Very good.
Visited in Oct 2016. Cozy pub a little way from the centre of town. Service was OK but we did get a telling-off from the waitress as we had sat ourselves at a table reserved for locals only. Had the Bockbier (good) and the Festweizen (which was even better). Didn’t try the food. Worth a look for sure.
Ambiance - Big cozy German brewpub. Plenty of people both indoors and in the garden. Nice friendly atmosphere! Service - Friendly. Selection - We only had the Mahr’s U IIRC and it was magical. Worth a visit just to try that. Food - Did not eat. Value - Very fair. Additional comments - None!
