80 Amazing selection. A ton of American craft, also a nice selection of Belgian and German ones. Takes a really long time to browse through everything, they could benefit from some tags and signs. But regardless, *the* place to visit in Toledo area. |
80 A good sized store in a strip mall. Not much help at all, but polite. Selection is crazy, everything you thought was gone or discontinued he has. Good or bad the extensive selection will have you digging around for a while. Prices for top end stuff is some of the best I have seen. Well worth a stop. |
94 Very solid shop. Excellent selection. Singles available for everything. Best place I’ve found in my Ohio travels thus far. |
84 Probably the best place for beer in Toledo. |
82 Marino’s has the largest beer selection aside from The Andersons in the area. Just watch bottle dates. |
82 This is a really well stocked beer/wine/liquor store in a strip mall not very far off highway 23. Lots of craft beers, imports and singles galore. There is a beer cave full of chilled beer. Well worth the stop if you are on the way to or from Ann Arbor. |
90 Stopped here while visiting relatives. This is a must stop for any beer taster. The most bombers at one place I have ever seen. Really nice selection of singles and if you see a six pack you want a single from, no prob. Big cooler full of interesting brews. I easily found 18 beers I never tasted before without even trying. I wish I had more time to hang out and really start picking the beers. Very nice overall experience and the owner/manager was really friendly and helpful, even when my picky wife starting cruizing the palce for wines, which we bought two bottles. Oh, yea; the prices were very decent too, especially since I came from the Pgh area. I really wish I lived close to this place; I’d be here often. Yes, fun and friendly, check it out. Owner claimed he had the largest selection in ohio but if that is so, vintage estate must be waning. |
76 Traveling back and forth from Michigan and Pennsylvania a few years ago, I’ve made a few stops in here. The selection is pretty crazy. There’s a lot of junk, but there are some really nice beers intermingled. It’s a bit of a beer museum, so you need to look some, but they have Alesmith and plenty of fun things to score. Prices are good. |
80 RATING NOTE: I had little time to really check out this place. I stopped here on a road trip because it was close to the freeway and I had people waiting the car for me. I just went through and picked up some bottles I recognized.
I will definitely try to visit here again when I am going through Ohio. It’s only a half-mile off US-23 just south of the Michigan border. |
88 This is a serious beer store. After blowing my budget at The Anderson’s, I stopped by here on my way back to Michigan in hopes of just picking up a bottle of AleSmith IPA. Well, I certainly found that. As soon as I walked in their full lines of AleSmith and Hoppin’ Frog bombers and 750s immediately jumped out at me. I saw both YuleSmiths, BA BORIS, and Old Numbskull, and those were just after a cursory glance for beers that I hadn’t already gotten at The Andersons. I can’t imagine how far over budget I would have gone if I had stopped here first. I also picked up a Lindeman’s Faro just to check the style off my list. Friendly cashier (maybe the owner?), and it’s barely two miles over the state line from Michigan. Definitely will be back to get those beers I couldn’t spend the money on today. |
