96 Don’t miss an opportunity to visit this place right off I-91exit 10. Small cozy and unassuming...be patient its worth the wait once your seated. Always great beer variety, staff knows their stuff and food uncommon and good. |
88 I have to update this to the new location. It is much larger in an old train station. Everything is still wonderful. We have eaten a few times here now. I must say I am impressed with the food here. You get some interesting twists on the food here. Deviled eggs are made with chipotle to give them just a bit of a bite. Last time there I had the pork chops that among the other items on it were shaved brussel sprouts. My wife liked the cornmeal waffle that was served with her chicken. Unusual, but it all works. And the beer selection is just superb. I believe they have 20 taps of constantly rotating beers. This place’s only drawback is that it is tiny. |
92 Just too small to get the highest rating for selection. And the food is too damn good for a valid value translation, meaning they have to charge a few bucks more for what they’re achieving, which is the best beer bar food I’ve ever had. The mussels are so consistently top notch, you’d swear the Grote Markt was just outside. Ambiance will go 5 once the place seasons up a bit. Service is friendly, fast, and efficacious. NO wasted tap space, and thoughtful session beer/lager presence. Food, I’ll reiterate, unmatched for beer bar, competes with any of the local swanky/hot bistros. A must-stop. |
78 Nice bar, not too big inside so it can get crowded. Good selection of beers. A few that I haven’t seen before. Food was excellent and staff was friendly. Fair prices. I think the AC broke the day I went because it got really hot. |
78 Not too far from the Hamden Amity. This place is was a pleasant surprise when I went. A modest, but solid tap list of 18 regionals. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. |
