Nahe des Timesquare. 30 Taps, wenig besondere Biere. In der Happy Hour gibts bestimmte für 6$. Darunter Stella Artoise... dazu viele Flaschen. Leckerer Cheescake. Ok, wenn man in der Nähe ist.

I ended up here because it was the only place open during a 4 hour layover in NY on the eve of Thanksgiving. Not bad, but seems like a throwback to the 90s beer scene. They have a bunch of stuff on tap but it almost universally sucks. Their theme seems to be only to sell stuff with NY names like Coney Island lager etc. Big sports screens - seems like the crowd it draws is centered on these.

Enjoyed our visit after beer culture. Decent middle of the road beer selection. Bartender knew his stuff and gave samples to assure we got what we wanted. Had a dj and lots of young people. Also like that they used proper glassware for the Belgians.

Sports bar. Not really a good craftbeer place. There’s so many more good places.

Horrible experience here. Loud & gimmicky. The beer list is dull, dull, dull. The most interesting thing on it by far was the Stone Milk Stout, so that’s what I asked for. Bartender told me it was off and recommended a run-of-the-mill oatmeal stout. When I said no, he decided I wasn’t worth the effort & walked off. Pathetic. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Visited May, 2012.

It was only natural to visit the bar with the stock exchange theme. The gimmick is that the price of each beer fluctuates according to the demand. So when a beer gets ordered a lot the price goes up. Since I was working while in NYC I had some time during the day before visiting the place to watch the prices. I was a little let down when I saw that it was just a predetermined pattern where the price climbs slowly to a peak and then drops back to the low point and starts the cycle over again. I suppose that’s what nerd’s do: take the fun and mystery out of everything. The good news is that once you know the high point you’ll know to wait 5 more minutes before ordering. I don’t remember the length of the cycle but it couldn’t have been more than about 45 minutes.

I visited in the early evening when everyone was getting out of work so the place filled up quickly and became a popular hang out. The service was decent; friendly but not the fastest. The selection was also just decent. I tried some locals that I hadn’t tried before rather than going for the stuff I knew would be good. Didn’t eat but the menu looked OK. More of a sports bar than a beer bar but it was still fun.

Huge place that does the "stock market beer thing." Draft selection is mediocre for a beer bar, good for a regular sports bar. Didnt try the food. Rarely stop by here despite being within walking distance. I’d rather go to Pony.

Very big place, beer stock ticker got old pretty fast. It was a slow night so I guess the ticker wasn’t as interesting. The service was not very good. Both bartenders preferred to talk to girls while we sat with empty glasses for 15 minutes. the selection is "standard" for a beer bar. They did have some good pumpkin beers on tap which was showing me they do rotate offerings. Felt more like a popped collar sort of joint.

This was right next to my hotel, so I stopped by a few times for a nightcap. Typical chain ambiance and food. Plenty of tvs for watching sports, which came in handy for watching one of my hockey games. The prices flucuate in real time on an electronic board (just like the stock market). It’s a neat gimmick except for when the price of a beer you want goes up. Seems like more of a business clientele.Selection is ok, good enough to satisfy a beer geek but nowhere near Pony Bar, Blind Tiger, etc.
