8 Wanted to visit on 26.5.2017 but unfortunately the place was shut down. |
76 Bel posto molto carino un po’ fuori dai soliti giri turistici ma raggiungibile a piedi , selezione buona per gli standard irlandesi che cmq sono ancora indietro rispetto all’italia |
90 Well worth the trek to this non tourist part of Dublin. Lots of small Irish breweries represented on tap (24taps and 2 cask) Some American craft beers too. Not crowded at all at seven PM. The bartender seemed to spend time watching TV, but he was very friendly and helpful when I got in touch with him. He showed great knowledge about beer and was willing to have a chat. Useful information: the pub didn’t open as early as 12.00, but in fact 17.00. Luckily I arrived late in the afternoon. Their small bottle shop opens earlier. And, do not make the mistake and enter the first pub you see with the name "Kavanagh’s" The nearby "Kavanagh’s The Temple" is for sure a welcomming pub, but beer selection is a disaster. 86 Visited on a Sunday afternoon in August 2015. A decent walk out of the city with an off-licence attached this is nice old traditional pub. The beer range was pretty decent with a good selection of Irish craft beer on keg and in bottles, a cask Irish beer and a smattering of more exotic stuff. Prices were good, service decent and plenty of room to spread out in. It’s a decent place and worthy of the walk out to visit. |
80 Nice bar and restaurant. Has a beer store connected. Nice selection of Irish beers. Decent selection of U.S. and European beers also. Food was very good and service was decent. Bar personnel were helpful. Worth a visit. Would return. |
84 The best place in Dublin. |
82 The food at WJ Kavanagh’s is the reason for going there. The beer list was better than I’ve usually seen in Dublin, which is encouragement for the future. |
82 Place is open again after a brief pause.
A largeish, open, fairly basic irish pub with a long bar. Selection is well on display, around 10 taps but a lot of bottles with focus on german, american and irish beers.
Also an off-license next door selling the full selection to go. |
90 Hasta ahora el mejor sitio de Dublin, ambiente que huele a pub antiguo, optima selecciones en los tiradores, grandes marcas como rogue o nogne... y la comida parece fuese el gran anfitrion... pena no haberla probado |
92 Phenomenal place based in frankly, a shitty part of Dublin. Awesome staff, great cask, great tap line up (rogue !) plus lots of local stuff. Very good bottle list and excellent menu. I had the BEST meat board I have EVER had in my life. Just tremendous. My favourite Dublin pub by far. |
