visited 7/17/11. remote location in the middle of a golf course community...which means a decent view (and from the patio it is). disinterested bartender but the rest of the staff was fairly engaging. three pricy ’house’ beers on tap and a couple of guests’. i wasn’t even thinking about eating after seeing the kitchen and cooks....

I come here once a year. It is on a beautiful golf course right outside of Cashiers, NC. They have a selection of their own beers and a pretty decent selection of other craft brews (i.e Bells, Founders, Dogfish, Stone). The food is standard bar food but the view for the terrace is worth a visit.

I just happened to stumble across this place while driving across Nantahala. Saw a sign that said "Brewing Company," so we decided to scope it out. It’s out in the middle of a golf resort, which is kind of strange. The atmosphere is interesting; lots of dark wood, tables made of whisky barrels, and a decent view. Beer is $5 a pint, which is quite steep. They have a moderate selection, but nothing too exciting. The house brews are brewed at Thomas Creek, for Sapphire Mtn. is in a dry county. And it’s hard to bring myself to buy a Thomas Creek beer for $5. I did not eat. The service was marginal. The bartender looked at me like I was an idiot every time I said a word, and she disappeared for long amounts of time. Interesting place, but I probably won’t go back.

Visited here in late June 2009. Out of the way place - but worth the trip for the view alone. Brewpub located in the middle of a golf course that also happens to serve some decent beers beside their own brew. Had three of their own on tap when I was there - only complaint was the $5 price tag for each pint - would probably sell a lot more of their stuff if it was priced more reasonably considering they sell six packs of Coors Light to golfers at only $9 a pop (its a dry county - only place they can buy it is here). Had an extensive bottle and tap selection of some local favorites and decent imports. Good varied menu - I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was great - especially after a long morning spent hiking. Nice setting - rustic log cabin like interior with a beautiful view of the golf course out on the deck.
