Must stop on your way through! Beer award medals hang all over the walls and I must say that after have 3 brews myself I see why the place has so many medals. The Irish red & Mild are outstanding, my friends really enjoyed the Lager & IPA. Our food paired very well with our brews and was good! I really liked seeing all the old brewing equipment decor - a very classy touch. I will be judging in CO this summer and can’t wait to try these brews again.

A nice break from the unbelievably tacky tourist trap that is Silverton. This place was still a bit tacky but compared to outside it was heaven. Only 4 taps, with one of them not running. Beers are decent enough; the seasonal Oktoberfest (weighing in at a lofty 7%) was solid. The food tries a little harder than your average brewpub and is well made, if not overly salty. A bit pricey—3x 10oz, an iced tea, two sandwiches and a side of fries came out to $45 with tip. Ouch. If you are in Silverton, this is a must-stop, but I’d not go out of my way to come here.

This town is so special, so picturesque, unique, and has a lot going for it. That there is a brewery there makes it even better. It doesn’t have to be the best brewery, it’s just nice that it’s there. And the beers aren’t bad at all. What’s even better is that there is a micro-distillery making rum, of all things, right around the corner. This is a town with one paved road and a few hundred families. It’s like the wild west. I’d recommend a stop if it’s possible, but it’s certainly out of the way.

mediocre brewery in a VERY picturesque town. i’d live there six months out of the year just for the hiking... old timey setting (very tourist trap), kitschy, beat up and very diy but a very down to earth joint with good service. fun to stop while passing through. can’t say i’d EVER eat here though.

Loved the antique beer equipment wall! We love brewpubs and this one was our favorite during our 10 day road trip. Their menus and medal are large wooded beer mugs, very creative! Must try the Bear Ass Brown Ale and take a 6 pack to go!

The beer was delicious. The Bear Ass Ale kicked the donkey. A great toasted malt brown. Very drinkable. And the IPA was a refreshingly well balanced. Still strong, but not an over the top IPA that has become so trendy. I brought some home in a can. I was skeptical of the can, but it was great on the go.

On our train trip we stopped to enjoy a local brew, with 6 beers on tap there was something for everyone in our large group. I had a Red Ale and a Stout, my boyfriend had a Mild which he says is hard to find. The food was normal pub grub, try brat sandwhich- homemade Kraut!! Great beer with good service and worth a second stop a few days later on our way to Grand Junction.

Silverton is a small town that once supported the local mining industry, but now exists mainly for tourism purposes. The brewery is very easy to find as it is along the main road. They have three beers on tap (the three listed for the brewery). Had the stout which was decent. Typical small brewpub atmosphere. The place has a lot of beer and model train stuff, with two model trains running around the edges of the ceiling. I don’t recall if they serve food, all I had was a beer. Not a destination brewery, but if you’re driving through and stop for food, worth hitting up.
