94 Clean, well-lit store. Something like 70 different drinks to sip on while you shop for bottles (including tasters and including bottle pours - my liver hurt just looking at the list). Bottle selection is both broad (all the usual) and deep (rarities and one-offs from top brewers). Draft list is both as well but they don't really have the usual.
No real downside to this place aside from being kind of inconvenient to get to. Between this and Bottleworks in Wallingford, Seattle might be the best bottle shop city I've ever seen. You'll think the Pacific Northwest isn't that great for beer outside Portland unless you go here, Bottleworks, Brouwers, Beveridge or the Burgundian (I haven't been to Uber yet).
Highest recommendation. |
86 Big shop. Ignored the taps to the right of entering and went to the main part. Lots of cans and bottles. Excellent selection. Staff was helpful and made good suggestions with the parameters I had on a brief Seattle visit. Thought prices were good but I live in Sydney where all beer is expensive. So all relative. Will return. Does show that a lot of beer retail in Sydney is still in the dark ages. |
82 Ambiance - very clean and tidy, looks like a beer store.
Service - very helpful staff. Tried to help me with all my questions.
Selection - was deep and wide. Cool place to find coming all the way from the opposite side of the country.
Food - N/A
Value - thought the prices we’re a little steep.

90 Popped in here on a Wednesday night while visiting Seattle. Not right downtown, but well worth an uber ride over to Seattle. Taps with a lot of local choices as well as some harder to find sours. Huge bottle selection. I can’t speak to the freshness of the bottles as I only had draft. Bartenders knew their stuff. If I lived here, I’d come here all the time. |
90 Never noticed that I didn’t enter my rating for here. This place was in a hard place to park, but well worth the stop. The beer selection was amazing. The staff saw me looking at some Belgian shelves and promptly asked if I needed assistance. They showed me where some of the beers I was looking for were and recommended a few more based on the style I wanted. Wish I would have time for some beers from the taps, but I was running late. A must stop in Seattle. |
86 Really great place. Good parking near. Huge bottle shop inside, especially in the sense of having a ton of top notch beers. Great taps, great service. Really packed with a ton of great beers into a smaller place. If I lived here I’d visit often. Excellent. |
82 Visited numerous times in the past year. They do decent events. Regular tap list often something that really interests. PLUSES: store and shop. Flights of everything. Very good location if you are in West Seattle. CONS: no a lot of seating, crowd they attract annoys me. Prices on bottles a bit more than I want to pay. I prefer Beveridge place in West Seattle b/c they allow dogs and the atmosphere is more welcoming and homey. But this is definitely a top notch beer geek destination but you need to travel to West Seattle. |
