72 Stopped in at this bar for a couple beers while out in San Diego at night. The bar had a respectable selection of beers on tap and on bottle, but it was not overwhelming. Did not try the food. The service was friendly and efficient, and there was a nice pub ambiance with average to higher prices. |
38 Nice Irish pub with authentic pub feel and everything, but not sure why it has any relevance on ratebeer. There are 8 taps with Harp lager, 1 Alesmith, 1 Kilkenny, 2 Guinness and Bud light.... |
80 Irish pub in downtown SD. This is a great place to go watch soccer in the morning and have a great Irish breakfast. Honestly, they have a pretty traditional lineup of beer so don’t expect to be blown away. That being said the food and atmosphere are awesome and I go often for that alone. |
76 great place to go especially when a trad session is going on. some good beers on tap from time to time, but the food and the ambiance is why you go, not the beers. |
64 Nice atmosphere. Cool place to hang out. Beer seleciont is not very good. Didnt try the food. Fun irish bar. |
62 A pretty cool place to hang out. Not the best selection of brews but pretty good for an Irish bar. Went there for my 21st birthday, had a blast. |
64 The staff waere great, the selection was pretty limited, the food affordable and excellent, i was there at St. Paricks Day and the ambience was pretty mild to be that day, they hadnt an Irish Folk band like the Dublin Square also at Gaslamp Quarter. But worth to try it |
66 The Irish barn/farmhouse/tavern interior is supposedly from an old pub in Ireland that was disassembled and reassembled in the Gaslamp. Food is exactly what you would expect, as is the selection of Irish and English brews. They usualy have a really good band playing in the loft. One of the better Irish pubs in SoCal. |
72 THis s great pub to go hang out in, have some great food and lots of fun. This is the place I’ve gone to the last two years for New Years Eve and it’s worth it. The beer selection isn’t anywhere near what it could be, but, they aren’t trying to be a great beer bar, they’re an Authentic Irish Pub. I ran into several Dubliner’s there this past New Years and they said they felt like they were in Dublin while there. If you like great Irish Pubs definitely Hit up The Field. |
76 Wow, wonderful pub. Seems really dark until your eyes adjust. Everything in there is authentic Irish Pub: the furnishings, art, food, beer and the atmosphere. The food I’ve had is delicious. The lamb stew is mouthwatering. A really nice experience is hitting this place around 10am on a Saturday. Order up the traditional breakfast which consists of Irish style pork sausage, imported Irish Galtee rashers (bacon), black and white pudding, eggs, grilled tomato, fried potato, and your choice of toast or homemade Irish soda bread or wheaten bread. Then you have to have a couple pints of Guinness to go along with it. Then walk off your meal at the various shops and the search for your next beer. The draft beer selection is mostly the UK mass distributed beers we’ve all been drinking here in the States for ever it seems like (except two). Very nice Whiskey selection and they might still have Whiskey tasting courses which are well worth the time and effort. Live music at night. |
