80 Amazing old school pub vibe, like any other Irish or English pub that had been there for twenty plus years; lots of wood, amazing smell. Service was nice and prompt, made a great beer cocktail for me but didn’t seem to care much about the beer beyond that. Selection was decent, solid things on draft with Guinness being the closest thing to a macro, and a seasonally rotating bottle list. Definitely a cool place hidden amongst all the college bars in town with a slightly older crowd. |
72 12 place u-shaped white tile bar with wood from and brass foot tall. 3 5-gap towers. Bottle Coller. Large and small wooden case on ground floor. No TVs.mellow music. View o to street corner.
Upstairs haven for soccer fans with bar, TVs and paid access to top games of EPL, LA Lira, Bundeslkga. (Spelling contrast Anxdikx.)arge.

68 This is a coner pub with an upstairs and a downstairs. Very taditional, mostly wood and mirrors, with a good view of the street for people watching. I visited on a Sunday, so it was all about mimosas, but the beer list was fair - mostly macros, with a few local things. |
78 Not your typical college bar. The Globe caters to an older croud who don’t need ear splitting music or frat boys vomiting in the bathroom. Chimay on tap along with some other favorites including Paulaner. Service has always been good for me. |
76 Great little bar. Nice hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. Decent selection of good high-gravity beers on tap. Quick, friendly service. Didn’t try the food. Definitely a fun place to visit if you’re in Athens. |
72 A very cool beer bar… Totally dig the ambiance! A nice draft selection, a handful of local American Craft breweries, Terrapin and the bunch, also a few Belgian drafts. There is a refrigerator to the right of the bar where you can go and grab a Sam Smiths or something Crafty! A really cool place… food was mediocre but worked just fine. |
52 A long-standing Athens beer destination. Selection is fair, and food is fair as well. Service here is hit or miss, which is typical for a college town. There are alot of folks who aren’t terribly interested in beer or tending bar. They also don’t do the best job serving in proper glass and their taps are not always well maintained. Chimay and other goodies can be found on tap, so it may be worth a try, but Athens now has better options. |
76 great place to eat a burger and drink a 22 0z Hoergaarden on tap. Though the price is 6.50 it’s like getting two beers for the price of one and a half. Most places Hoegaarden is 3.50 to 4.50 a pint and that is if you can find it. One of my favorites beers and this is one of the only places that has it. I recommend trying it!!!!!! |
74 Nice pub atmosphere with tasty food at a fair price. The draughts are chosen well with a variety of Belgian brews and all served in appropriate glassware. 10 oz. glasses are available for those who want to try different things. I thought some of the imports were way overpriced, but other than that this is a great place to go when in Athens. |
