86 Impressive tap and bottle list. Definitely has a retro feel outside and that carries inside a little, too. The patio is great. Service was attentive. Definitely worth a stop if in the area. |
92 Great beer selection. Excellent customer service. The beer is served according to its temperature not just one temp fits all, which I found appealing. Some offerings can be a bit pricey but overall a good place to try new things. |
74 Great slection of beers, including some of their own craft brews which I tried. Service is quick and attending. Somewhat sterile atmosphere, but as the beer is the most important thing, lesser importance. When in Huntsville think made right choice to go here. Bit expensive. |
92 Inside reminds me of a 70s era retro bar. The outside patio area is new and HUGE! Lots if trees, very nice area to unwind and take it easy. The beer selection is amazing! So many beers to choose from. I tried some food, very good. This place is in a "not so great" part of town, but worth the drive. |

74 Other than the old lady who will stalk you, its a good place. Its the place to find good beer in Hville. Food selection not that great, and service marignal to good. But beer selection. Best in town... well for now.. competition coming. The outside deck is very nice... which sets amvieance high. |
84 Having lived in Huntsville for a few years, I was all too familiar with the almost complete lack of a beer scene (I think things have improved in the past 3 years since I’ve moved away). This place was my beer oasis for the time I lived in the area. Amazing tap list that rivals beer bars in big cities. Great staff that knows their beers too. I was introduced to numerous new breweries and beer styles thanks to this place. For what it lacks in general style and food offerings, it more than makes up for it in fantastic beer. |
88 this place was really great, from the people to the beer...enjoyed it all... |
90 Available secure WiFi (just ask), German Food on Tuesday, Guest Chef on Saturday. New beers on Monday and Saturday. Bright front bar area, dim back bar area, and huge deck out back. |
72 I stopped here for a few brews on the recommendation of my brother-in-law. I’m glad I did.
We sat outside on a nice deck underneath some beautiful trees. I ordered a J.W Lees Harvest Ale 2001 and a draft of St. Bernardus Abt 12. Frankly, these beers far exceeded what I expected from a bar in Alabama.
Beverly, our initial server, was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and entertaining. While we enjoyed her company, our other server was pretty crabby and kept us waiting too long between rounds.
The Nook offers a few hundred different craft brews, with a nice selection of German and Belgian offerings.
This is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. |
