A night club feel with a patio that is likely full of annoying people when it is busy. Staff was nice and set me up with a flight with no fuss. No water though. Beer was surprisingly good for Singapore, some of the better ones I have had here. Although not my vibe, the beer speaks for itself.
Right in Clark Quay, this modern cocktail lounge becomes a night club after about 9pm. Stuck away in one corner and partially hidden is the brewing gear and to find what’s on offer you have to go well into the bar area to find the taps where there are six of their own brews available (as well as an extensive wine, spirits and cocktail list). As well as standard glasses, taster flights are available. The service was basic and staff lacked knowledge of the beer products. Prices are Singapore standard – expensive. (Visited 11/1/2017).
Visited on a Friday evening in November 2016. This was a kind of odd place, a night club with a small brewery. It was very noisy inside so I only hade one beer, the IPA which was an ok one although expensive. (18.20 for a pint) The location was right in the middle of Clarke Quay, very close to my hotel. (Swissotel Merchant Court)
Stopped in for a quick flight before my flight. Very unusual atmosphere. Beers were super expensive, but not compared to other alcohol in Singapore. At first they wouldn’t let me sample the beers but then once I explained that it was to rate them for the internet they gave me a flight for free. The staff was busy with real customers and didn’t care about the beer. Most people were drinking cocktails. Most of the beers were just meh, but they did have one cherry beer that was decent. Didn’t try the food. Nothing special about this place though. Still, at least they were trying... but it definitely ain’t a ’brewpub’
Right in the heart of Clarke Quay where things get a little crazy late at night. I have to say that I’ve walked past this place so many times without coming in as I didn’t expect much. However a ticker has got to tick and so I came over one Saturday night at the 5pm opening time. It’s more of a night club when things get going but sitting outside during the early part of the evening is quite pleasant. I really didn’t expect any quality beer here but I was pleasantly surprised. For a brewpub their beers were actually rather good and price wise I can’t believe how cheap they were compared to other local bars. I’ve avoided this place for years but not anymore.
A raucous nightclub that brews its own beers. Pumping live pop music and a hopping dance floor. I only had one beer to end the night but I was very impressed with their golden ale. Not what I expected when paired with that atmosphere. Not my scene but the beer is tasty.
