No railway in Tromsø, but the town has got a cozy railway pub. One main bar room with an adjoining room dedicated to football supporters. Smokers are welcome to a separate open air, sheltered room. Mack and Ringnes brands on the taps and Bryggeri 13 and Mack micros among the bottles. Friendly service. Central location down town. Background music at our stay from U2 and Bob Dylan. (Shared a Maredsous 10 Tripel with Finn here on 27.03.2018).

Many from Mack on tap, one for their microbrewery, and Heineken, Stella Artois, Guinness, Kilkenny, Carlsberg, Nordlandspils. Some interesting bottles. Easy place early evening, sometimes crowded with locals later on.

A crappy place with boring beer selection. Nothing interesting at all. I tried to find a beer worth buying, but I gave up and headed for another pub. (Visited July 10th 2014)

Tromsø jernbanestasjon or JB is a popular and busy place with a railway theme where the staff wear uniforms and train stops are announced through the speaker system. They have a bit older crowd it seems. The usual Mack beers on tap but also big international brews like Guinness, Kilkenny, Carlsberg and Heineken. Not to exciting beer selection if you’re into big ales and microbrews. Mostly lagers.
