Very nice tour, my friend and I were the only ones. We were there on a Monday which is when they do filtration and then bottling and kegging is supposedly the next few weekdays. Also the free sample was noticeably fresher and better than any Trumer I’d ever had.

I’ve only been here for the Celebrator beer festival to close out SF beer week, but they sure do throw a good party. It’s really a great spot for a beer fest. Lot’s of room to move around indoors and out. They’re a pretty unique operation… I’d recommend checking out their website and reading up about their history. They only do one beer of course, but it’s highly under rated IMO. I just wish they’d get with the times and start putting it in cans or brown bottles. Every time I’ve had it on draft, its been really tasty. Someday I’ll have to take the tour.

It is impressive how close the taste comes to the original Trumer Pils from Salzburg. I could not figure out why the owner has selected to copy Trumer, which is a small brewery close to Salzburg / Austria, seems they have made a kind of license agreement, but the original brewery is not involved anymore. A quite big brewery, seems to have some over capacity. I believe this pils is one of the best in the US.

If you’re visiting this place, you’ll most likely be here sampling Trumer Pils while on the brewery tour. I won’t spoil any surprises by describing it too much! It’s really cool to see how a brewery like Trumer works, considering how they brew and bottle just one beer here. And they do it very well. They’re technical wizards over there, check it out.
