Bar / restaurant close to the river. Beer selection is reasonably large if not hugely exciting. Pre-set flight available. Food was fine.

A happening place, great ambiance, crowded but the food and service are good, beer selection is average.

This is a cool place down by the Potomac River. Very rustic look, lots of barn wood, warehouse industrial and brick. Lots of taps, but just a few really interesting things on tap. Food looked good, but didn’t partake.

Nice rustic looking restaurant with two floors, upstairs was closed during my visit. Medium sized bar was mostly full but there were plenty of open tables available. Service was friendly and the table-side swing-top bottle of water was convenient. Good amount of drafts with mostly local beers from DC/VA/MD and some from around the states. Some bottles/cans too. Food was tasty, had the pan-seared salmon. Pricey on both food and drinks. Okay if you’re looking for a slightly upscale place for dinner or a place tick but Paradiso down the street is probably better beer-wise.

Upscale lounge type of vibe upstairs, complete with couches. Service was a little hard to track down on a busy Saturday night but was friendly when you got it. Food was solid. Beer list was large but very expensive. I enjoyed myself here but wouldn’t go out of my way to go back again.

Nice place with an interesting interior. Wait staff is RETARDED. Honestly our waitress is one of the worst servers I have ever had. Ok selection from all over the world. Food is pretty good.

My wife and I have been to Virtue Feed & Grain a few times for a beer, and went last night for Valentine’s Dinner. The atmosphere is quite nice. They take the theme to the next level with plenty of rustic decorations and items made from old grain sacks. Overall, it’s fairly dark and laid back in the place. The service is a bit hit or miss. Everyone is always friendly, though the beer training isn’t the best. From the way the bartenders ask about what I’m planning on having, my guess is that a lot of the patrons don’t know very much about beer. That’s fine and all, but the bartenders should know a bit more about the product when it’s clear the customer is familiar with the selections. The selection itself is decent. There are 20 taps and about 75 bottles and cans. Maybe 5 or so of the taps are dedicated to BMC-type products. A few of the others are dedicated to locals like Port City and DC Brau. Other than that, the rest were mostly-typical micros like Stone and Victory. The food was decent, though not great. The calimari was a bit grainy, but was otherwise cooked well. I had a "Shaggers Pie," which was a Shepherd’s pie with lamb instead. The potatoes on top were quite nice, though the dish as a whole had too much rosemary. The prices for beer were fairly expensive, including $7 pints of local pale ale. The food wasn’t too bad. Overall, it’s worth stopping in, as I really enjoyed the atmosphere. You can grab a quick beer as well, but I wouldn’t expect this to be a go-to place.
