70 Better than expected with a decent selection of regional craft brew and tons of Canadian brews not available out west. |
70 grabbed a couple of make your own 6 packs for $10 a piece, very good selection for a grocery store. the place was super busy so id guess the turnover is pretty good. i didnt find any out of date bottles. ill be back. |
64 They have a bigger selection than I assumed from the previous comments, but then again it’s the first beer place I’ve been in the U.S. Was pleasantly surprised that they now have a craft-your-own sixer section with lots of choices. Pulled a sly move and even snuck in a victory Dark intrigue. That was extra points for service right there as the old cashier didn’t notice. They have a big Belgian section with most of the stuff you can get in LCBO but at higher prices but also have some extras. A lot of odd Germans as well. Big bomber selection divided into West Coast/east coast. Eyed the New World Triple, excelsior and Ruination. Would go back if I was in Niagara again, if only for the craft your own sixpack section. |
54 Great grocery store overall with a fairly solid beer selection in the back corner. Unfortunately, most of it sits forever. Stick with new releases and seasonals or risk getting old tasting beer. If you’re going grocery shopping, it’s a pretty swell place, but if you’re going beer shopping you’re better off going a couple miles down NF Blvd to Consumer’s where they have a better selection, with a higher turnover rate, and do growler fills. |
68 they often have fresh Stone IPA ang DFH 60 but I would never recommend buying any other IPA from this location, 95% of the time it has been way too old for me. great selection though, and very close to the border. |
72 I’ve been here a few times and I just want to warn if you pick up some of the imports or some of the less popular crafts, unless you know if has just been released odds are its gone bad. I have a few instances where the quality of the beers I have bought from here were poor and I believe it to have been because things purchased here are risk of being there for a while before sale. So just be aware of that. That being said you can indeed find some real jems here that are fresh as can be. They have a nice selection of everything here. Imports locals and all over crafts, worth a look |
80 For a grocery store, the craft beer selection is phenomenal. Two large aisles, a couple of fridges, and a double-sided rack of mostly American micros, with a very respectable range of beers from Belgium, Germany, and the UK.
Sierra Nevada (Bigfoot, Torpedo), Great Lakes (Burning River, Elliot Ness), Stone (Ruination, IPA), Victory (HopDevil, Prima Pils), and Rogue (Mocha Porter, Brutal IPA) are particularly well-represented. Lots of bombers from St. Bernardus and Brouwerij Huyghe as well. I grabbed a six pack of Edmund Fitzgerald Porter for $8.99.
Service is average since this is a large chain, minimum wage grocery store. But I found a cheap sixer of world class beer and a shaker glass to drink it with, so I’m not complaining.
Certainly a spot to consider if you happen to be in Niagara Falls, or passing through to Buffalo (like we were). Recommended.
