Visited 10/12/22, fiancée wanted to visit the German market but it was far to busy to enjoy, so we went on an impromptu pub crawl instead. Relatively busy but we managed to find a seat at the back. This is a proper old fashioned pub, the décor is dated but this adds to the feel of the place. Hugh selection of Casks ale, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bonus point because they have a cat (I think, I saw a sign on the door saying please don't let the cat out).

Visited 30/9/21. Being a midweek lunchtime it was quiet but still several customers in attendance. This place is in need of a lick of paint now as the décor looks a bit too weathered even for the Wellington. Still a relaxed venue to try a real ale. There were around 12 pumps in action so I think the choice is still below pre-covid days but a great way of picking up some local ales. Bar staff were friendly.

Visited 8/2/2020 (and a fair few times in years gone by, but never place rated it for some unknown reason). It's not changed much though the carpets were not as sticky as I remember they used to be! Very decent cask selection, around 18 on, many were LocAle. Busy, service was fine, though not exactly enthusiastic. We got chatting to friendly locals. Still a "go to" destination when in Birmingham.

Visited later in the evening, the pub was full so we barely managed to find a table. Traditional pub interior, seemed they were having trouble keeping up with the crowds considering dirty glasses and rubbish on our table. Good range of casks, however quality was mediocre. Good for cask ticking I guess, but wouldn't expect too much.
