Medium-sized, very nice and clean looking pub. Service wasn't very good in English, and not really experts in beer, but they tried to help me to the best they could, and were very friendly. the Alt was the second best to me, but again this place only serves 1 beer, which explains my lower score given. price was average, which is to international standards rather low .
Located in the heart of the Old Town, this spacious venue serves arguably the best Alt in town - and just that, if you’re here for the beer, €2 for a 0.25 liter glass. More extrovert staff than anywhere else I’ve been to in Düsseldorf. Did not try the food, but I would love to return to this place since the beer is so good.
Ambiance - Big old German brewpub with plenty of room and plenty of the kind of decore you’d expect at a place like this. Almost empty at the time of our visit but the staff had their rowdy fun so wasn’t completely dead. Service - Friendly but for the staff to act grumpy just because they still haven’t seen the tips left on the table is just bad. Selection - Their alt which is one of the best in town. Food - very hearthy and rustic. Huge portions. Value - Fair. Additional comments - Pity about the small annoyances regarding the service. Really liked this place apart from that.
Huge place with lots of seats both indoors and outdoors. We came for the alt bier and this was one of the best we wried on our Altbier-crawl. Service was ok. Food was really nice, we had a plate with different sausages, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Worth a visit.
