58 I see closed, scoring as I recalled it. |
66 Had high hopes on finding some ’special’ Goose Island beers here. Quite a normal selection, still good beer though. Service little slow, guess everybody was watching the game on TV. OK bar food, and afterall very good atmospere there. |
76 So we came in here on a day where the Cubs were out of town, so I can’t really say what it looks like on a game day (but I can damn well guess). I bet its a zoo! Anyway, this is a nice spot for some brewpub beers that are somehow also made by AB... What an odd combo. I won’t hold it against them though. It feels like a nice, solid brewpub. The GI name (and all the "guest" beers from the big GI) just happens to be there too.

86 Jammed between games of a doubleheader but they still managed to handle the crowd. An man they had a nice selection. Food was decent bar food. Well worth a visit. Pricy. |
76 Came here for GI Stout Fest 2014. Pretty cool place to hang out in. Nice open spaces with everything you’re looking for. Pretty decent selection. They also know how to run an event really well. No complaints here. |
76 Stoutfest 2014 was held here. Pretty friendly place. Plenty of space. Will need to return to check it out in a normal situation. |
86 Great spot outside of Wrigley and great environment here, especially before a game. Selection not as great as Clybourn location, but pretty good still, you won’t be disappointed. |
56 Visited 7/25/2010 with masterski.
Masterski took me on a bit of a walking bar crawl the first night I was in Chicago. Stopped here right after having some beer and fries at Sheffield’s. This GI location seems like more of a sports bar with a couple of house taps just to remind themselves that they are in fact running a brewpub. It’s understandable of course given the proximity to Wrigley Field. Lots of places to sit and lots of employees to flag down for a beer but the impression that I got was that unless you are loud and drunk you’ll get passed up. Pretty loud over all but that’s alright. The beers available were the regulars (312, Honkers, IPA, Kolsch, etc) plus one or two rotating taps it seems. The IPA is quite nice and the 312 would be good if I liked American Wheat (Garbage) Ales. Didnt eat because we were only stopping in for a quick beer before going to the next place. Would stop in if I was in town for a Cubs game. |
72 Before a cubs game on a recent visit. Was just about what I expected. Beers were decent, as was the service. No unusual Goose Island styles. Seemed like one of the nicer places around Wrigley Field. Worth a visit. |
64 Visited on a Cubs game day but while the place was busy it wasn’t as busy as I had expected. Usual Goose Island range of beers, good service. |
