Jungle Jims in Eastgate! I was excited to check this out as when I lived here this was a Biggs Grocery Store. Mixed feelings here. The place is equally as large as the original JJ's in Fairfield but it's laid out as a traditional grocery store which makes finding things so much easier. Also much less crowded. Beer selection was very good and expansive however it seemed much more picked through than Fairfield. Almost nothing rare or too exciting just a ton of things in general. Taplist at the bar didn't have as good of variety either. Also a limit of 4 samplers vs. 8 at Fairfield. Guy running the bar seemed a bit miffed too when I didn't purchase a growler or crowler after doing my 4 samples. I love this place and would regularly shop here but in terms of beer selection and friendliness, it falls just short of Fairfield.

Visited after work on a Wednesday. This place is bananas, you really just have to go to understand. Absolutely huge store, with an international market and carnival feel to it. You’ll wind around for awhile, and eventually come to the beer area in the back left portion of the building. In addition to rows and rows of beers, they also have a bar area to grab a red solo cup pint of beer, or to grab growlers to go. The selection features a large assortment of singles, as well as a solid Belgian selection, many gueuze available. The draft selection is on untappd, check there for the beers available - there were 45 when I visited, and great representation of local breweries. If I had more time, I would have grabbed a pint and wandered the beer selection for awhile. Certainly an experience.

82 = ***½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Never been here? Prepare for grocery shopping madness, fountains out front all kinds of stuff inside to check out. Literally making shopping adventure. Their beer/wine department is pretty big and they have a bar that fills growlers as well. Found some old beer sitting on the shelf and they didn’t charge me an arm and a leg for it.

Pretty rad grocery store with a super rad beer section. Good taplist (at least for a non-local like myself - I may reevaluate in the future), pouring pints, $0.25 sample tastes, and filling growlers. Wide selection, prices seem decent. Small selection of mix and match singles. Definitely a top-notch grocery store beer stop. Recommended.

Big free dedicated parking. This place is a huge international grocery with all kinds of big sections of products (cheese, cigars, wine, etc, and of course beer). Nobody asked if I needed any help, but this place was really busy on a Saturday afternoon. Prices were pretty good. I picked up several bottles. They have a tap area with pretty good selection, but nothing I was interested in trying. Big selection of bottles: local, Begian, and a few different countries available. You really need quite a bit of time here, especially if you want to check out more than beer. Prices were pretty good. A place to go back to.

Visited this place on a Sunday evening. This is located close to the interstate and within a shopping plaza, so there is plenty of parking available. If you go in the front entrance, you will come across a massive selection of international food. It is quite a walk to get to the beer if you follow the natural progression of the store. My wife and I were wandering around in here (perusing admittedly) for about 45 minutes before we ever came across the beer section. Once we found the beer section, at least I was pretty impressed by it. They had 5 or so very tall shelving units side by side and all filled with various beers. Aside from those, there was a very long aisle equally as tall and also filled with beer. This wall was more for the build your own six packs and the like. there was also some floor space dedicated to cases and some large format bottles. On top of all this, there was a growler station/bar area with some tables set up for sipping. I didn’t spend much time here, but they had a lot of taps that looked interesting. After talking with drsilverworm, he says to park in the back and come in the back door to start closer to the beer section, so take that advice if you go. I’m always enthralled by grocery stores with good beer selections, so this place was right up my alley. I will be back and not just for beer. We left with several groceries as well. This is a fun place to shop, I just needed more time than what I thought I would.

Much like the Fairfield location, but without the beer bar and a little less selection. The few people(one) that I asked beer questions knew little.

Man I heard so may great things about this place I was stoked to go there and was way disappointed ! I went In the early evening and stood at the mostly empty tasting bar for almost 10 min Before someone asked if they could help me. A dude that clearly worked there and appeared to be giving direction to other employees (manager ?) Was completely trashed and rolled his eyes when I asked about a specific rare beer. Was. Not. Impressed.

First time visit to this location 10 days ago. newer store not the easiest place to get to but we worked it out. inside is an international grocery store which is amazing in its own right. finally snaked our way around to the beer section and i was not disappointed. dont know if it is as large as the original store but close and you have selections from about anything you want or need. this location has a beer/wine bar set up in the middle where you can do samples for $.25 cents each or you can purchase a pint for either $3 or $4 depending on what you like. i had a nugget nectar for $4. it seems every friday evening from 5-9pm they have a brewery tap takeover. unfortunately we couldnt stay that long but it was listermans brewery. i believe all the local breweries are represented in the store. this is a great afternoon trip for grocery and drinks.
