(Visited 07/2015): Tremont Tap House is located south of downtown Cleveland on Scranton Road in the Tremont neighborhood. Pretty close to the intersection of I-71 and I-90. There is a parking lot in the rear of the building.
The exterior of the 2-storey building is olive green with maroon trim. Inside opens to the bar, which is dark with brick walls and wooden floors. The bar runs along the entire left side and there are tables on the perimeter of the room. Tap handles are set against a window, and there is a board above the bar listing the beers.
As for the beer list, there are over 20 options, featuring many local and regional brewers like Great Lakes, Cleveland Brewery, Founders and Main Street. Around 50 bottled options as well, again with a lot of Ohio options.
Service at the bar on a weekday evening was good. The bartender was friendly and made good recommendations.
The burger I ordered was enjoyable, no complaints about the food.
Overall this is a worthwhile stop for a solid tap list and food outside of downtown Cleveland.
Really enjoyed this place. Awesome atmosphere and decor...lots of brick and wood...warm. very nice draft list and lots of bottles. Darn good food and fair prices...i would definitely go back if I hit Cleveland again.
Visited at around 6:00PM on a Wednesday. Place was nearly empty. Sat in a booth with wife and kid for about five minutes, completely unattended. Asked the bartender should I order at the bar? "No, sheíll be right with you." Waited another five-ten minutes. Got a wave from the server. Waited some more, and then moved my family to to the bar. Everything was great after that. Bartender was very generous with sample, even though I hate when they automatically assume you know nothing about beer. Burgers were great though at NY prices.. Pork Carnitas thing was like something off the Food Network. Beers were in good shape. Glasses were mostly clean. Music not too loud. I will return.

When I visited: May 2012.
What I had: Bear Republic NorCal California Style Bitter (draught), Sierra Nevada Hoptimum (draught), Bockor Cuvee des Jacobins Rouge (draught), Chorizo Tacos, cocktails for the lady.
What I liked: Outrageously robust tap list with many beers that Iíve never seen on draught before (Gnarly Wine, Maharaja, Hazelnut Brown), relaxed and welcoming vibe, killer music, fast service with a smile, tasty and affordable pub grub, fair prices given the quality of everything.
What I disliked: Nothing.
Would I go back? No question. One of the best beer bars that Iíve come across.
Overall Rating: 96

I love this place! Especially on Sunday! The bartenders are always nice and the beer selection is always good. The food by the way is outstanding. Love to go here after work on Sunday and just kick back relax and enjoy the rest of the day.
I canít believe it took me so long to get to this place. I guess it was because of the hours and my laziness, but it doesnít matter... this will be a regular hangout for me now. Tucked away in Tremont, just off off W.14, this place is awesome. Cozy interior with brick walls, dark wood and dim lighting. They have one of the best tap lists Iíve seen around town and the food is great. The service I had was awesome - actually, some of the best Iíve had in a while. I know my sample size is small, but I enjoyed this visit quite a bit and plan to go back soon.
Tremont Tap House is only about 5 minutes off the W14th street exit of I-90, and approximatly 5 minutes from Great Lakes Brewing and Bier Markt.
The Atmosphere was nice, open faced brick with a long bar. Several Flat Panel TVís behind the bar showing local/National sports. Small crowd being a Tuesday night, but not empty by any means.
Had a nice selection of Tap and Bottled beers. I counted 24 taps in total, but my counting usually sucks. 3 Handles from Bellís including HopSlam, a few Stone, Rouge, 2 from GLBC including Nosferatu and Xmas Ale, Victory, Southern Tier, Ommegang were all represented well. Beers were served in the correct glass wear.
Service was good, no complaints there.
My wife and I shared several of the happy hour appetizers. Olive Tapenade Pizza Calamari, Pretzel served with a smoked cheese dipping sauceall of which were delicious.
A nice value, my wife and I had all of the food, plus one Ommegang Rare VOS, one Magic Hat #9, and 2 HopDevil all on tap for $34 before tip. Being we ordered the food on happy hour and 2 of the beers where also order during happy hour ($1.50 off drafts).
This is a nice destination that Clevelanderís need to add into thier Beer adventure rounds.
