Went to this place several times over several years. Back in the early 2010s this was one of the best beer bars in NYC. There are better out there now - broad selection but not that interesting and always way too crowded.

A huge contrast to Blind Tiger wich we just visited. More or less empty, maybe that was a sign! Big bar, loads of dark wood, 40 tap's and a long bottle list. Had to beers, 1 fine enough, the other tasted really bad, bready and old hops. Asked the served who told me is just been kegged, then another tasted it, and said something along "i see where you coming from" and said sorry! Prices as expected. Sorry, but i dont feel like returning.

Update: 3/2018. Now I've visited here perhaps six times total. Last times beer selection has not been so interesting, but you still can find interesting enough beers for flight or two. But quality of kegs has gone down. Beers feel much more fresh at The Gingerman. Prices are pretty high too for flights.

Excellent selection of 40 taps. Decent service, although nothing extraordinary. Food was good. I visited here 3 times. Once just after Colorado Night, they had some 15 taps from Left Hand, Boulder. For ticker 4 beer sampler "flight" is great.

Fun place. Cool people. Good beer. Good food. Knowledgeable staff. I had a nice time.

Visited on 25.11.2017. Very nice lay out, bar and decoration. Many flags and other brewery souvenirs. We were sitting on one of the wooden tables, very comfortable. They have 40 beers on tap and some rarities in bottles. Good mix of different beer styles. Unfortunately when we came it was extremely noisy due to one group of people celebrating the weekend. Other than that a real good beer pub.

Visited on 20th November 17, late afternoon. The place was dark and a few punters there even at 4.30pm. The big thing for me was the Focal Banger in cans, this was a great bonus and very fresh, it was served a little too cold. I had a flight of four, it was supposed to be $10.00 but they charged $14. All the beers were good and high quality. I also had some calamari, tasty enough. The knowledge of the staff on the beer was poor as far as I could see. OK place, especially for the Focal Banger on my visit.

maybe it was being with kids and only having 30 mins, or maybe it was just an u lucky day. i had to asked for 8 or 9 beers to make up my 4 beer sampler tray as so many not on. then last 2 not labeled on tray. plus damned expensive. the play did look good and seemed to have a bit of life. The four beers i did have were in goid condition and i really enjoyed 3 of them.So i still managed to pick ok from list

Visited on 30th September 2017. Decent sized place in Midtown. Decor has lots of beer memorabilia around the walls and it's all a little basic with not many frills. Beer range was decent enough with plenty of choice on tap plus a good bottle list. Flights available and I opted for one of those. Prices were decent value. Service friendly. Decent place.
