Rusty is the man!

Dropped in on my way through Vermont, looking for some local stuff to take home to share with the gang. What an incredible beer selection for the size. It wasn’t long before I was met by the fellow who makes the beer selection. Got great personalized service, and I’m happy to recommend this place highly!

My local beer shop. The have liquor too! Great selection and if you "like" the Facebook page you will stay up to date with current offerings. The service is second to none and these guys know their beer as well as what they can actually get their hands on. They won’t lie to you. If you get pissed that they don;t have Heady Topper, you obviously have no clue what is going on and should drive yourself back to Jersey. AWESOME PLACE!

Visited: 5-26-12 A: The place is a half beer shop/ half liquour store. The beers fill 7-8 coolers along one wall and several smalls aisles of craft beer. Q: Having Heady topper automatically ups this places quality automatically. They had several other hard to find beers but nothing uber rare. S: The counter guy was friendly but not much help when it came to answering brewery questions. S: Having Heady topper automatically ups this places quality automatically. Unfortunately, that is the best they do for Vermont beers. They carry Maine Beer Co., Allagash, and several other smaller brewers that we dont see in Upstate NY. Overall, a nice trip up from Albany for Heady Topper, Allagash, and Maine Beer...but thats about it.

Great selection of Belgium and VT beers. I guess have to wait on the McNeil’s. Now that Vt has raised the alcohol % to 16%, can’t wait for the better belgian beers, also the higher % stouts.

This place is just down the road from me, and I would be lost without it. Ha. First, Rusty, who manages the beer selection is always on hand to help out, point you toward new beers he suspects you’ll like b/c he knows your personal bents, He is always trying to bring in new beers from far flung places as well. He’s the only place within many miles to stock EPIC, EVIL TWIN, TWO CAPTAINS, MOYLAN’s and many others that are not found in the area. Rusty and his gang used to drive the 200 miles round trip to buy cases of Heady Topper at the brewery so their customers could have some back when Heady was having a hard time getting traction. He also will reserve beers for you via email or facebook. The selection is superb for even a larger municipality, which Manchester sure is not. Many folks from NYC and Long Island stop in regularly to get beers they can’t find in their own area. The prices are on par with other places. If you like craft beer, you’ll want to make this a destination if you’re in the area.

One of my favorite beverage centers (Finger Lakes Bev Center in Ithaca,NY being the other). Amazing selection and reasonably priced (Cantillon, Anchorage, Prairie, many NE/VT beers, etc.). Rusty is great and always posts upcoming beers on Facebook so you can get them almost right off of the truck. The beer is in a smaller section in the back, but very well organized with rating labels and descriptions for each beer. Highly recommended.

Discount has great customer service. I buy all my beer here and Rusty will go out of his way to take care of you, if they don’t have it, they’ll go out of their way to get it if they can. The sandwiches are also fantastic at the deli. They could use more space for beer, but hey, who doesn’t need more room for beer :)

One of the best beer stores in southern VT. Rusty does an amazing job at getting some hard to find and limited release beers. Prices are always reasonable, which is hard to find due to the "tourism Tax." If you’re not in the mood to try new beers, they have a great selection of the ol’ standbys. Over the last 3 years I’ve watched the beer section continually expand. Well worth the visit.
