Very decent in terms of beer selection for a fairly large pub. No real microbrews to speak of, but the Frigate Ale was surprisingly good. Cons are that there was only 1 pool table and 2 dartboards, but the Friday night musical guest Big Daddy is awesome.

Essentially an ordinary sports bar in a nice setting. The beer wasn’t expensive, but the selection was pretty poor. The steak and kidney pie was pricy but worth it. It’s a great place to throw a dart or two, meet with friends, or have a good meal. If you want good beer, drive a few extra miles to the Taphouse in Hampton.

Meh. Typical chain pub. Went here a couple times. Had appetizers and beer the first time and lunch the second. Both times the service was OK. The beers weren’t too horrible considering the area but still lacking. I’ll probably hit this up before the typical place, but there’s no real draw to this place for beer geeks.

Part of a chain of "Firkin" pubs, this is a half-step above your neighborhood Bennigan’s with about 18 drafts to offer ... including Boddington’s, Newcastle, Stella Artois, Winterhook ... there’s a noted lack of any real micros or easy-to-find area beers. They do have a "Frigate Ale" but the staff couldn’t tell me who made it, only that it was from Georgia (Sweetwater?), and was like McSorley’s. If they’d add some St George or Legend, the marks would be a bit higher.
