Our GPS found this place easily. A bit isolated, but not far from walking and bike trails. Empty when we visited on a Saturday. Huge parking lot. Inside is large too, with a small bar and some tables. Staff guy was distracted with opening up, looks like we caught him at a bad time. Beers were disappointing, and served in plastic cups to boot. Only if you’re passing by, at least until they improve the beers.

When you make the turn to find this place, you’ll question whether you’re going in the right direction. In what feels like a very rural spot, but actually not far from the Roanoke area, these guys picked a great spot to get going. I love the theme, the associated art work, and the vibe of this very welcoming warehouse-turned-drinking joint in the woods. It kinda has the vibe of Stone back-in-the-day. But while the beers they serve are decent and unoffending, they also don’t really stand out enough to live up to the hint of snootiness this place also gives off, complete with an impressive but overly-priced-for-a-start-up collection of schwag. Enjoyed it. Hope they don’t overestimate themselves. Brewery #744.

Went here a while back while traveling through the area. Very nice and clean space. I like the Die Fledermaus theme and steam-punky vibe. Owners were serving and we got to enjoy a nice conversation with them. Good selection of house brews- all very solid. The prices were reasonable, too as I recall. I was even able to score an actually cute/wearable ladies t.

The owners were very friendly. You could tell that they love what they do. The beer was pretty good. They didn’t have, as yet, anything killer hoppy, but they said that would change. I liked their beer because I thought it was all well balanced. The location was not far off the inter state and easy to find, cool building as well.
