Had a nice lunch here with my wife and child. We came in after a nice drive up the hood canal. The service was awesome we loved the atmosphere. Just a simple pub with great art and a fun feel. The huge bar area with the bar was just what one would look for in an old bar. They have pool tables upstairs and with the no smoking so you can pay with out issues. Lots of beer on tap over 10 of their own taps. The food was awesome and they serve lots of it. This was a fun place I will come back for the Strange brew festival next winter. Will check this place out in the summer I bet it is rocking then. The beers did have a flavor that was a tad too hoppy but that goes to show you what they do in the Pac NW.

I just can’t recommend this place to anyone. I hate to tell a story, but my wife and I were the first ones in when they opened. There was no one behind the bar or around to take orders. I was about to leave after a minute of looking, when a lady reading the paper by the entrance put it down and asked if she could help us. So, finally put in the order and sat down. My wife finished her pint in 20 minutes and left it at the end of the table in plain view. After 40 minutes of waiting we were finally asked if we wanted water or another drink by the water boy. I asked why it took so long and we were told there was a mixup and they forgot to check on us even though my wife counted the waitress walking by 7 times to other customers. My wife was the only non white person in the restaurant and I have never felt that way about any other place I’ve received bad service in my life, but I really have no other idea why they would check on every other table 3 or 4 times before ours. After I told the water boy how long it had been, within 2 minutes he brought us a full load of fish and chips. Its a nice thought, but after only 2 minutes I can be pretty certain that this was just a plate sent back by another customer.

Food was fantastic, beer pretty good with seven of theirs on draft. Service was OK and they had run out of things but it was 7PM on a Monday night.

Food was very good, beer was good. Service could have been better, bit slow and were out of greens for salad, and crab.

Great historic location in one of Washington’s great towns. The food is good, the service acceptable, the ambience is nice... but the beer is the star here! Make sure you try the Queen Nina’s Imprial. In the mood for a margarita? Fresh squeezed. Yum. The Wookie! Rules! Brew On!

Great place with lots of history. Ten tap handles and a brewer who knows what he’s doing. Service was great at getting the food and beer to us, but they took a while when we asked for the bill. Tres European?

Great beers, spotty service, occasionally obnoxious crowd. Been here a few times, though, and only saw the obnoxious crowd once. Beautiful setting--picturesque shoreline location, historic old brick building surrounded by many other fine historic brick or stone buildings. The food is great: mussels and clams, burgers, fries, lots of elegant pub grub. Live music, funky decor, decades-old bar and barback. And as a little recent-past bonus, this is where the fight scene between Gere and the locals was filmed in Officer and a Gentleman. Combined with the very good to great beers, it’s a must-stop.

Was here for the Strange Brewfest last weekend.....great time, great brew pub and nice people. Will definitely go back, at the very least for the brew fest next year! Relaxed setting, good beer(what I tried). Note: When I go next year, don’t trip and fall down in the bar.

Great place to knock back some pints. Live music (bluegrass) played loud enough to know its there but not so loud that you can’t hear. Friendly staff and locals, high ceilings, and a great bar. All cocktails are made with fresh-squeezed citrus which almost looked good enough to put my beer down. Eclectic decor and some decent food make this an awesome place to grab a pint (or two, or eight). Entertaining to watch the female owner totally take the piss out of a drunk who thought he could talk smack to her.
