First stop on a Saturday morning/afternoon. Got there as they were opening the place up. Owner/brewer greeted us, very nice guy. We tried a sampler of five of their beers. All were decent, nothing outstanding, but a good way to start the day. Nice space, plenty of seating and a garage door they open on nice days. Located near a few other breweries and distilleries. Worth a stop if in the area.

I’ve given this place a couple of tries. I love their service, the building looks really cool and it’s nearly always full, but the beer just comes up short. They just don’t have any body to me; they seem really thin.

Warehouse brewery had their doors open, nice cute bar in tasting room, art gallery, connected to building. Friendly staff, decent beers.

Wide open garage spot in the summer, decent smattering of beers. Seems to be more popular with the younger crowd.

Smallish, comfortable warehouse style place. Decent sized bar, some tables, cornhole. Some homey touches to the bar. Flight of 4 for 8 dollars. I had some small issues with the hoppy beers but those may have been a matter of taste rather than execution. Overall the beers are a little experimental and off style but well executed and tasty. It’s extremely rare I give tens for service and it probably wouldn’t have happened here if it were busy, but, Eddie the bartender was very friendly, knowledgeable about the beers and gave me ton of valuable advice about the beer scene. The parking might be tricky with ongoing construction on this street but once thats done street parking should be easy. The best brewery I’ve visited in my young career as a Milwaukee resident.

World-class facility filled with all sorts of beer geek toys. Open tanks, folders, and the bartender told me their custom made growler filler is a bottling line for one bottle and cost $25k.

Very friendly and knowledgable staff. We played cornhole and drank flights. Tried all their beers and a few guest Wisconsin taps. Not disappointed by any of them. A great addition to Milwaukee’s growing scene.

Nov. 21, 2017, update: Sorry to see you go Mike. You ran a good brewery. Original review: Tucked away in Milwaukee’s near south side Mexican restaurant district (it may sound funny but most of Milwaukee’s best independent Mexican restaurants are in about a 10-block radius), Brenner Brewing is the one remodeled building on the block. Inside you get a modern bar area with a garage door open to Fifth Street (it was June) pouring eight Brenner beers and a half-dozen guest taps from respectable Wisconsin breweries. Helpful, knowledgeable bartenders. Owner Mike Brenner on hand to lead tours. Four-beer flights still $6 and pints still $4. Super-clean and large restrooms (so unusual for breweries). Well worth visiting.

Nice spot. Open garage door was beautiful on a nice day. 6 taps available. 4 beer sample flights were 6 bucks. Pints were 4 bucks. Bags of cheese curds were available. Beer was good. Service was good. Clean. Friendly.
