“Beerstore in Annecy behind the train station. 2 areas : the first one with belgian classics (Trappist beers, Dupont, Gouyasse...), some german beers (I discovered Rügener beers) ; the last one with nice french local beers(La Vallée du Giffre, Veyrat, Le Baigneur (Annecy), Bombardos (Annecy), no ArtMalté (Annecy), Aravissante, Maelström, no Mont Salève), regional beers (Two Hats from Ain department and other french beers 2-3 beers of La Débauche and Popihn. Friendly staff.“

“Next to the brewery, Artmalté has a taproom where they have 8 beers on tap : 2 of their beers and other regional beers (Veyrat). The brewer is passionate and eager to share and teach. Smart choice by this beginning of summer : standard pils and... black pils. Interesting and different because most of the french brewers would have chosen american pale ale or witbier. Also 50-60 regional bottles (La Vallée du Giffre, Veyrat, Faucigny, Brasseurs Savoyards). Ok price.“

“July 1 and July 5, 2020.Nice modern woody bar with 2 rooms located in the crowded Sainte Claire street. Just arrived, I am invited to ...buy a card to pour myself one of the 11 beers and 1 cider on tap (mostly Belgian classic spirit again, Floris Cactus, All haze everything, Vitus, Kasteel Red... , Corsendonk Blanche & Brune, Bon Secours Ambrée...) So I didn't buy the card but the cellar was far more interesting, yes. About 150 bottles with an interesting french craft selection : local beers such Mont Salève, Veyrat, Vallée du Giffre ; regional such as La montagnarde ; national (La Débauche, Popihn, Sainte Cru...). ; of course belgian good classics such as trappist and some US or UE craft beers. I tasted Mont Salève imperial stout tourbée and La Montagnarde Floréale. You can choose the glass you want. Friendly helpful dynamic staff. Maybe expensive but that was holidays !“

“I remember I have been to Lyon to the same bar "Au Fût et à mesure". And I already confused with "Les Fleurs du Malt" bar from Nantes. Don't ask me why because the name is totally different... This modern bar is located in the charming center of "old" Annecy. With a pre-paid card, you can pour yourself to 10 beers (belgian ales mostly such as Vedett IPA...). The 1K rater won't be really enthusiast I guess. If you don't want to buy a card you can choose between 3 forgettable beers on tap. Among the 15 bottles on a small shelf, I chose a french regional witbier from Pleine Lune ; nice, ok price. The barmaid was really friendly and helpful. I guess that can be a fun place to spend sharing some belgian ales between friends who are not craft beer geeks.“

“Visited June 30th 2020. Old fashioned roller skates and craft beer cans behind the window. Nice small bar in the center of Annecy close to "espace Bonlieu". 5 craft beers on tap (nearly unique in Annecy !) (2 local breweries (Haute-Savoie breweries), 1 french one from Zoobrew, Northern Monk and Extraomnes). In the bottles (50-100) : good local selection (Mont Salève (8), Vallée du Giffre, Veyrat (3) and of course some beers of other french craft breweries (Popihn, la Débauche) ; also some solid european and US modern breweries but I didn't come for these one today :) You can also taste some wines and local food but I just tasted liquid food :) Enthusiast friendly knowledgeable waiter. I tasted "Mont Salève barriquée 3" and "Vallée du Giffre à l'avoine Stout" ; nice.“

“Visited on a Friday afternoon. The place is sort of old timey and touristy. Lots of wood. They do have french craft beer on draft, but not many. Super friendly service. A pretty solid bottle selection. There was a decent bottle sho across the street.“

“Visited on a Friday afternoon. Right by the lake and the canal. Seems a bit touristy, but they carried a good selection of German beers on draft, and many more in bottles. Overall a good experience. Plus the bartender was cool to talk to.“

“Annecy could be a gem of a town in the French Alps... it doesn't need touristy themed pubs and cosmopolitan snacks. But I'm not really being very fair on this place by throwing all my Annecy-related frustration at it. If - for whatever reason that baffles me - Annecy attracts a type of tourists that don't really care what country they are in, one pub isn't going to make a huge difference in any direction.“

“Growlers to take away. 14 taps with regular rotation, bottled with CO2 for conservation, very friendly staff. A must go if you are looking for good beers in the area!“

“Chain bar that can be found all over France specialising in a self-pour system. Each table has a screen and beer tap serving one beer. You sit at the table for the beer you want, scan your pre-paid card which you can top up at the bar, and pour your own beer in your glass. Not a bad concept really, except it can get a little intrusive when others in the bar want the beer served only at the table you're sat at, and frequently lean over to scan their card and pour their beer. If you don't have a card, there are 3 other beers on draft and around ten bottles, though everyone seemed to be here for the novelty self-serve option. Selection is mainly courtesy of Duvel-Moortgat-owned breweries (Vedett, Maredsous, Duvel, Cuvee des Trolls, St Louis) with some Westmalle bottles, though my tripel tasted distinctly old and past it! A fun place to call in with friends, and like most bars here they also serve cheese and meat boards, but for the intrepid craft beer explorer there is very little here to see.“

“Translated loosely as 'the monkey on wheels' this is a small but cosy bar specialising in craft beer, good wine and local cheese boards. In fact, the aroma of melting cheese and the crunching of baguettes seem to be as much of a draw as the drink selection. Seems this is the first bar in Annecy specialising in modern craft beer, having opened a few months earlier, and pulls in a young, hip crowd thirsty for new styles and tastes. Draft menu is displayed, typically, on the wall with 6 lines of predominantly French breweries, and a clipboard menu (of course) displaying around 30 bottles, plus the wine and cheese selection. Some English stuff from Moor, Mad Hatter, Northern Monk and Cloudwater alongside some well-chosen French bottles. Place was extremely busy for an early January midweek evening, so I can imagine this is completely rammed on weekends and during the Summer. Prices seem a little high for me (expect to pay 8 euros for 50cl draft or 5.80 for a 330ml bottle) but then normal I guess for a craft bar. Without doubt the best choice for modern beer in Annecy.“

“Self service bar. Over ten taps with different well known carft brands, mainly belgian and american styles, only one local. The place is small but cosy, the system of serving yourself a beer is fun, but the selection was not amazing. As a experience, it was interesting and it was the only craft beer place found in town.“

“Sometimes the most interesting beer bars are those that pop up unexpectedly. Like this amazing beer bar in the centre of Annecy (and about 45 seconds from my hotel). 13 taps - although only 11 were operational on my visit - offers beers from Belgium, Japan, France, Denmark and the Czech Republic. Works on a card system, which allows you to drink as much (or as little) of a beer as you like. Wasn’t terribly crowded when I was there, although it picks up later in the evening.“

“Having grown up in Florida, I am used to treating nautical-themed establishment with understandable reservation. However, in spite of the kitsch, dark lighting and silly pirate motif, I kind of took to the Captain. Draught isn’t much to write home about, but there’s a fairly good (if pricey) bottle menu, including one or two local beers.“

“Decent German-themed pub/restaurant on the breathtaking Quai Perriere. Eight beers on draft but move along, nothing you haven’t tried: heavy on German names (Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr) and big name Continentals (Jupiler, Leffe). The extensive but safe bottle list is your best bet: it’s hidden in the comic book themed menu.“

“One of the rare brewery in Annecy. Not easy to find, but it’s worth it. The tenants are passionated. Beers are really good. You should try the seasonal "bière de l’instant"“

“Stopped by while staying up the street in Annecy. Cool place with good outside seating also. Like the concept with the pre-paid card and the self pour. 12 taps, Belgium, local, and also an American (Dogfish). Just used one card since we had collected single bottles from our time in Belgium that need drinking.“

“They use a prepaid system, using a contactless card. You can operate the 12 taps yourself and you pay per ml. Very nice. Nice selection and so cool to finally have a proper craft beer pub to go to during the Animation Film Festival!“
