60 /100 Queens Hotel (Bar) 10 QUEEN STREET A cozy, old fashion pub with a bar serving two rooms. Double set of three cask ales, two of them from Welsh breweries. Local feel. Central location and very close to St. Peter's Civic Hall where the Carmarthen Beer Festival is held each autumn. Polite service. (Visited with Finn 04.10.2018). |
82 /100 Parrot Music Bar (Bar) 32 KING STREET I certainly didn’t expect to find anything quite like this place in central Carmarthen and I don’t think I have seen anything quite like it previously. I understand that it was a failing local pub previously, it has now been converted into something for everyone. There is a cafe downstairs which also has a Real Ale hand-pump for a local ale and around 5 craft keg taps. There is a bottle shop around to the left with a great range of bottles and cans including beers from Kernel, BBN, American imports, Danish imports and a fairly standard range of Belgian beers. There is an enormous music deck downstairs, upstairs there is a record shop, which seemed pretty popular. There is an obvious young vibe but we felt fine in there. Must be experienced imo. |
