64 /100 CAVENDISH STREET,
“Just along from the Priory Gatehouse in the narrowest of streets in the pretty Horse Racing village of Cartmel, it’s a bit of squeeze to get through this, but even more so through this coaching house’s vehicle entrance that leads to a fair sized car park at the rear ending at the small river. There’s seats here or outside the front of the white washing and historic coaching inn if the weather is good. Inside it’s what you expect from a inn that is several hundred years old, very cosy and atmospheric with fine a countryside pub ambiance. The serving area is fairly central to proceedings with tables on three sides. Ale, food and rooms are all available here.“

62 /100 CAVENDISH STREET,
“Nice old fashioned English Inn, in a beautiful old village. I stayed in a room here and it was a really comfortable and cosy place to stay. Bar is traditional and cosy although range is not great. They have Jennings Brewery on tap and a couple of other real ales alongside the usual Brit crap lagers (probably Fosters or something). There are better pubs in Cartmel but this is still worth dropping in on.“
