“Situated in a warehouse on the outer fringes of Crediton. I expected a farm of some sort, but it's not at all, perhaps a farm exists somewhere else, I'm not sure. The retail shop is a about 2 or 3 square metres of space just within the warehouse with a counter staffed by a young girl. Shelving display most of the current range, although we did spot some others on a table behind the counter which we had to ask for. You can see the production area with a forklift wrapping brewdog kegs ready to be sent out. There's a very basic bar within view as well, so I assume it opens on weekends or for special events. I get the impression this warehouse has run its course and a brand new purpose-built facility is being planned in the near future.“

“Visited Monday lunchtime; 16th July 2018. My little party tripled the custom in this lovely old 'throwback' of a pub. Three cask ales and two cask ciders plus some keg fonts were available, I tried all three cask ales and they were fine. The one roomed pub is a delight, no frills or pretentiousness here, just decent ale and conversation. Clean, tidy and a proper Real Ale pub.“

“Lunchtime on Monday 16th July 2018. Liked the place, lovely beer garden to the rear, up some steps. Main pub small and cosy for a Wetherspoons outlet. Six cask offerings, only one new to me, usual keg fonts and bottles available. Staff friendly and plentiful, food fine and as always good value. A pleasant Wetherspoons from top to bottom.“

“Visited on a Monday lunchtime in September 2014, when it was unsurprisingly quiet but meant we could have a good chat with the landlady. The four beers on offer included a couple of new ones for me and the home made scotch eggs were excellent. A great local pub, I will certainly be returning.“

“A reasonable Spoons on the High St in Crediton, visited en-route to Cornwall with a desperate Spoons ticker. A decent pub with many rooms, nice old building, beer range seemed decent and service OK. Standard Spoons, not much to write home about“

“A genuine free house with one regular and four constantly changing real ales. Basic home cooked food is available Fridays and Saturdays. They have an annual real ale festival every November. There is nothing fancy about this place - it’s just a proper pub serving the best range of real ales in the area.“
