“Quick visit here in early October 2023. 6 beers on tap. They also do flights. 4 x 1dl cost 8€. Cosy and nice place as others have written. Ok sortiment of bottles in the fridge for takeway also. Good service. Opening hours 10 am-1.30pm according to their website, but during my visit, they opened around 1pm.“

“Located right by the sea, this is a small and cosy pub with a selection of both local and imported craft beers. Stuff is helpful and kind. I like the fact they support the local gypsy micros. Recommended when in Rethymnon“

“Enjoyed a couple of visits to this place, and would rate it the best craft beer place in town. Selection of taps from Solo. I had the Dini which was excellent. All the staff we met were helpful and knowledgeable. Free nibbles with each round. Nice location with a good outside place with views over the seafront.“

“Had high hopes, having read previous reviews, but it was a bit odd. Bit hard to find, and no signage outside. Bar and big back room in near darkness. Me and the missus were the only customers at 9.00 pm on a Friday. Barman, who was polite and helpful, but may have been cannabis trusting, offered a choice from seven bottles. We chose, and sat outside. Barman then wandered off up the street to help his girlfriend park her car. A bit of a laid back, slightly off kilter ambience.“

“Very good location for this narrow place, I actually went past it at my first visit. Big outdoor seating area with a good view of the beach promenade and the pedestrian area. Small place inside, with 6 taps and a lot of interesting bottles. Snack and water is served with your beer, nice gesture. Disturbing music at my first visit, like a bad carnival, only bad cover versions of classic rock, shame on you. Recommended place.“

“Probably the best place for beer to take away, with the widest selection I have experienced in Rethymno. Located at the old road leading into the center , bus stop right outside, and big parking on the ground floor. Lots of Greek micros + some good imports as well. New built big supermarket.“

“compared to the other few bars i’ve visited, this one had a very large selection, i would guess easily 40 bottles in the printed menu. however, lots of these are very mainstream belgians and other well known (good quality) beers from all over europe. They also had a number of greek craft beers though. it’s a restaurant overlooking the ocean, service was friendly, although it seemed like it’s not totally normal for them to have guests that only are in for the beer ;-). The printed beer menu with pictures very nice and thorough, with a solid description of each beer. If you are in rethymno, i’d say this is a place not to miss.“

“nice place with snacks and a very cosy atmosphere, both inside and outside, in a very narrow street off major traffic. much more tranquile than the places closer to the sea. however, the fridge with craft beer was near empry (rune????!!!) they had like 6 bottles left, some solo and an alexandra that i had not rated, but it was not that interesting. It seems they were running dangerously low on craft beer, which is a pity, they could’ve re-stocked at least one of each, from one of the bigger supermarkets until they got their ordinary supply lines going again. Anyway, place is nice, but i cannot confirm more than 4 bottles of craft beer left now. friendly service. Place is fairly close to the harbour (perhaps 7-10 mins walt) , next rater should probably check it out, to see if the fridge gets refilled. seem like they have half a shelf dedicated to craft, so maybe 7 or 10 different. other part of that shelf is alfa, mythos radler and generic stuff.“

“Located in the outskirts of town, but not more than 10 minutes walk from the inner part of the old town. Its found in a rustic area of old block buildings from the 1960s(?), where you not are supposed to find a beer bar. Colourful, retro interiors with a few chairs and tables outside. No taps but about 30 different bottles beers, most of them from Greek micros. Take away options, I bought bottles from Nissos, Septem, Chios, Corfu, Voreia, Pikri, and a few more. Welcome, friendly and enthusiastic service. Closes on Sundays, opens at 17.30 on Mon, Tue and Wen, and from 12.30 on Thu, Fri and Sat (Visited twice during a week in Rethymnon, 12.06 and 16.06.2017).“

“A four-sided corner bar located in the upper part of the old town, close to the Angels church. Two taps, one from Septem Microbrewery, interesting bottle beers in the fridge from Nøgne Ø and Σόλο (Solo). A few outdoor seating watching the tourists passing by. Light food options. Friendly service. Music played at our stay was Bowie and Beatles. Strange to watch the window exhibition of empty bottles from Norwegian breweries like Kinn, Haandbryggeriet and 7 Fjell among others. (Visited with Marianne, Eivind Arne and Frau Eva 10.06.2017).“

“This place, right in the middle of the inner circle along Eleftheriou Venizelou, opened in early June. Being the main outlet for Σόλο (Solo) beers in town, there were five of them , including a collab with Satyr, on taps supported by quite a few Σόλο (Solo) beers on bottles. Bottled beers from other breweries at my visit included Edge, BrewDog, Omnipollo and Primator (also on tap), all together 16 bottles. Great outdoor seating and friendly service. Small bar room inside. Very good value compared with other bars in the busy, touristy, harbour area. (Visited with Jon Gunnar, Ann-Rita and Eivind Arne a couple of times between 11.-16th June 2017).“

“Many Greek micros here, plus a lot from elsewhere. Proprietor Vasili very friendly and helpful. He doesn’t aim at a comprehensive range, just the breweries he likes himself. Quirky décor, and signage at front only on wall, not above premises. Was closed on my second visit, Monday 2 pm, so hours may vary.“

“Located next to Church of Our Lady of the Angels, same street as Punch Bowl. RB map shows wrong location. Google maps got it: https://goo.gl/maps/pBKQEyQWRQk Small square room, 2 taps and about 20 bottles at my visit 16.5. Bob Marley on the stereo, I was the only guest and had a small chat with the girl behind the bar. Aiming to have a good selection of Greek microbrewed beer. 3 small tables outside, ideal for people watcing and drinking some good Greek beer.“

All the greek micro’s are availible with a decent foreign selection. Must vissit if you have the chance, in particularly if you want contribute to the greek craftbeer scene.“

“If you visit Rethymno and you like craft beers, you should visit this place. The owner is quite friendly, he loves craft beer and he keeps rising the number and the variety of beers available. “The best place for Greek beer in Rethymno. This bar try to hold focus on Greek micros, and offers a wide selection from small breweries, like Septem, Voreia, Chios, Volkan amongst others. Also some Brew Dog, Belgian, German and Czech beer in the fridge at my short visit. The local itself is spacious with high ceilings, its located in a residental building, the walls are covered with differnt murals, displaying different things which the owner Vassilis cares for, like Bruce Lee, contemporary art and so on. No beers on tap at the moment, but this could possible change in the future if this place is succesfull. Bottles are also sold for take away. Recommended visit in Rethymnon.“

Revisited 9.9.15.Beer selection was better before, lots of bottles from the menu was sold out, and the music is too loud for me to enjoy the good beers properly. A place to relax with a good beer in Rethymnon, don´t mind the heavy trafficed road seperated by a tiny pavement, this is as close as you will get beer Nirvana in Rethymnon for now. Weissbier on tap, perfect for the hot summer days, the interior is OK, the music is better, the owner knows the beers well, and seems very interesting in expanding the selection, will def go back next year.“

“The interior is dark/depressing and agree that the music volume is far too loud. There is a reasonable selection of beers but there is room to improve this. It seems to cater mostly for the local youth who are into grunge rock, fine if this is your thing.“

“As someone else said, this is a proper pub. This pub is a pleasant surprise in a town full of mainly noisy bars with loud music. They have a good selection of bottled beer and well kept draught, also an excellent choice on spirits. Best of all, the Irish landlady is a genuinely warm and welcoming host.“

“This is a lovely Irish run pub in the centre of the Old Town in Rethymno. As one would hope, the Guinness and Kilkenny are the stars of the show but there are several other good beers on draught. Prices are reasonable too. The music is varied and refreshingly different with good atmosphere overall.“

“I love Crete and I love beer. So good to have beer places in Rethymno! I wouldn’t say it the best place in the world, but for a resort beach place it’s pretty nice. The prices are a bit high (7-8 euros for 0.33), but as I said, it’s a resort place. Enjoyed local rethymnian dark beer + had a pawel kwak. Everything was good.“

“Central location in the old town of Rethymno. A rather small, airy,four-sided room nicely decorated in earth colours. A few chairs outside at the narrow pavement. Likable rock music (Clash, Iggy, Stooges, AC/DC etc). Three taps with a German Weizen from Arcobräu, Gulden Draak and Pils Hellas in addition to 38 bottled beers listed in beer menu which includes everything from Stella to Volcano and the two Brink’s variants from the Rethymno brewery. Friendly and helpful Greek hospitality. Cool beer bar in the middle of a Greek beer desert (visited three times during a week’s stay in September 2013).“

“About 45 beers are listed in an informative menu, 18 of them being Belgian, a few German ones, the local Rethymnian Brewery is represented by both of their Brink’s variants and, of course, many of the fizzy European industrial lagers are on the list. Three of the beers, including one Brink’s, are served from tap. They also promote four beers from the Septem Microbrewery. The place is a combination of a café, bar and restaurant. We had delicious Greek food here; a well made Stifado and a succulent Gyros Chicken. Its location is rather near the city centre on a corner overlooking the Rethymno beach promenade and easy to spot walking along the promenade. Attentive service and good value. Opens at 10.00. I do not think there are better beer destinations in Rethymno than this one. (Visited twice during a week in Crete in mid-August 2012).“

“A certified Cretan Diet taverna that serves a range of bottled beers with proper glassware. Emphasis in selection is European and especially Belgian. They also carry two Greek microbrews. Service is friendly and flexible. The food is decent and reasonably priced considering the location along the beachfront promenade. It seems to me this place would be the best place to go to for craft beer in Rethymno. The presence of the Septem beer is a huge plus in my book and one can only wish that in the future deliveries from Santorini Brewing Company and Cretan Brewing (Xarma) would become possible.“
