“Billy Goat’s Pub is part of and adjacent to the Drunken Goat Taverna which together probably serve the some of the best food in Dawson after maybe Klondike Kate’s. The focus is on Greek food...but many other things are available. They have several draft lines (3-4?)...serving the only Yukon craft beer available...Yukon Brewing out of Whitehouse of course. Although Yukon beers are not what I would call exceptional (with the possible exception of a few of their one off special beers)...it’s a vast improvement over Canadian macro beers. It’s unfortunate that some of the great craft beers from British Columbia are not available up here...but that has to do with Canadian laws and not allowing the shipping and selling of craft beer from province to province (I hope that changes soon). Overall this is a good place to visit in Dawson for food, better than average beer and fun atmosphere...but keep in mind...Dawson is an out of the way and difficult to get to corner of North America (albeit a beautiful and historically fascinating one)...and the choices up here are "extremely" limited. It would be difficult to run a great craft beer establishment in a town that is mostly dead for 8 month of the year. If you are in Dawson...definitely visit here.“
