Crown Inn (Bar)
WORTHING ROAD
“Small free house opposite the small green in this small village. An notice certainly olde building, however if it wasn’t for the pub sign on a separate pole you could easily drive past, it looks more like a house than a pub. Especially as the entrance is to one side. L-shaped bar which is predominantly set aside for food. However there were a number of locals having a Sunday lunch and contributing to the warm atmosphere. Friendly staff - plus points for admiring the baby, negative points for forgetting my beer! Three casks - I believe the Long Man Best is the regular, the two hours today being from Downlands and Goldmark. 5 kegs - macro lagers, Guinness and Curious Lager. Food was OK - being a Sunday we all had roasts. It came in about 10 minutes,in other words alarmingly quickly. Meat was good, however veg and gravy were standard. Not worth £18. Would return if in the area and nit going elsewhere (so unlikely) - nice village pub but not particularly special.“
