“Visited 17/05/19. I have two issues with this place that I'll get out of the way first: (a) I had to drive here so really couldn't make the most of it. (b) No reception or working wi-fi meantime couldn't access RB to check details about the beers. Anyway, I am jealous of this place. A really old school country pub. The couple of locals were on cask Golden ales so this place was wasted on them, what with the array of LEP and guest keg on offer. LEP bottles can also be bought to take away. Staff were friendly and happy to give me some samples when I mentioned that I couldn't try all the beers I wanted to try. Later found out it would have been a £50 round taxi journey. My wife has a couple of friends in the area so will definitely be back. Oh yeah - despite it being my first visit the barman twice said to me, "... the last time you were here..." I must have a doppelganger.“

“Lovely two room old red brick pub, the home of LEP. There was some kind of festival on when I visited yesterday, Eddyfest and the live music was in full swing. 70 beers & ciders as well, shame I was driving. The pub itself offers around 20 beers on cask & keg, roughly split 50 / 50 guest casks / LEP wild ferm beers. It’s a great little spot that I’d recommend anyone to visit but it’s a bit out in the sticks! Camping is available next door“

“Well, what a place, just been to the recent Dark Ale Days festival and had a fantastic time,me and my wife borrowed a camper van and booked a pitch, which is right next to the pub in a field complete with a toilet/shower block and a wind turbine, you also notice the solar panels on the roofs, very green and a good sight to see.Lovely pub, lot’s of wood and aged character about the place, the staff are really friendly and the beer choice is excellent and in great condition at a good price, especially when their festivals are on which they have throughout the year, good music nights as well.Tried the food, and that is also very good, mostly homemade or locally produced. With the Mill Green Brewery onsite producing some great and interesting beers this place is one to remember and i hope to return soon.“

“A proper country real ale pub. always 9 or 10 ales available. regualr beerfestivals held in the beer garden with camping available. food is home-made and very good, and the ’green’ credentials are second to none with a wind turbine and micro brewery on-site.“
