48 /100 Wheatsheaf (JDW) (Bar) 43 OVERPOOL ROAD Large plan Spoons has changing guests on 8 Hand Pulls.. |
38 /100 Nandos (Restaurant) COLISEUM WAY, CHESHIRE OAKS OUTLET VILLAGE Nothing special they had a few US craft mainly....service was pretty slow... |
60 /100 Zizzi (Restaurant) COLISEUM LEISURE PARK Italian style restaurant with a small range of Italian beers and ciders. Food was reasonable if a little spicy, Beer was overpriced, as per usual in restaurants |
62 /100 Thomas Telford (JDW) (Bar) 65-69 WHITBY ROAD This is a bright spot on an otherwise tired looking main road through the town centre. All the big named shops are in the shopping centre so it’s small businesses galore around this Wetherspoon pub which has a nice atmosphere to it and a comfortable decor that includes plenty of upholstery. It’s a large single ground floor room with the bar against the back wall in the centre. Against the side walls are attractive booths on elevated platform areas. There’s two rows of ale pumps here although both were the same on my visit. |
54 /100 Wheatsheaf (JDW) (Bar) 43 OVERPOOL ROAD Next to Overpool station at the southeastern end of the Merseyrail Wirral Line, this is a large pub in its own brick building and grounds that include ample parking and outdoor areas for drinking and dining. It’s very much in the classic Wetherspoon pub style with plenty of large open areas all around a centrally placed bar on the ground floor and caters for both families arriving by car as well as the locals in this very low-rise suburban area. There’s two rows of real ale pumps although some were repeated on both during my visit. |
58 /100 Nandos (Restaurant) COLISEUM WAY, CHESHIRE OAKS OUTLET VILLAGE Several bottled foreign lagers available, food is quite good, I asked for a glass and the glass they gave me was warm, which was the only down point really |
