“Alko Espoo Tapiola has 290 beers, which is a very good selection, and making Tapiola almost as good as Matinkylä. Tapiola Metrostation is here. But car park is Parkering Tapiolaplatsen. “Alko Espoo Espoonlahti Pikkulaiva is located inside Kaupunkikeskus Lippulaiva, and has a wide selection of 250 beers, and both Prisma and K-Citymarket are close neighbours in the house. Here one can make a huge triple beer-catch. After circulating one round for outdoor parking, I drove into the big parking underneath the kaupunkikeskus (Shopping-centre). Tu.Sep27.2022“

“A pretty typical william-k inside the mazy confusing sello-complex. Try to stop by every now and then, as my train leaves just near, but rarely do. The smallest of them all, same interiour though - carpets on tables, wooden english belgy feel. Used to think it had the smallest selection too, but not too sure anymore, might just be the smallness of the place that makes that impression. One thing worth noticing though is the efficiency of the bartending, which is really exeptional. They can get through whatever sized rush-hour line in no time at all. I’ts truly amazing. Serves bar food which, being so small, smells up the whole joint. Haven’t tried it though. Seems like a regular place for work-posses.“

“From the outside, looked like quite a well appointed places, and I guess it is - nice comfy leather sofas. Billiards and snooker is an interesting addition, and it doesn’t impose on the sit-down-comfortably side of the pub. Piped music was mostly the kind of shit I listen to, so that kept me happy. If you don’t like it, it’s again not too imposing, you can probably ignore it. Fairly typical Finnish beer selection apart from the twist of a local brewery’s beers. A pleasant place, but lacking real character. Ankka is so close, just the other side of the road, so that’s where I’d be found more often were I a local.“

“2nd floor of the supermarket Sello. I think the only way in is through outside. 7 taps and plenty of bottles. Barmaid knew exactly what they have. She was very helpful, but didn’t warn us that one of the Ruosiniemi tap was kind of off. Well maybe it wouldn’t matter anyway ’cause new beer is new beer.“

“A decent place at a mall, though cannot be accessed through the mall itself. Alright selection, a few taps with a couple of specials. Good service, willing to recommend and know at least a bit about their stuff. Food is crap and overpriced so beware. Though what would you expect at a place like this. Expensive considering it’s not Helsinki.“

“Tends to get the new arrivals into Finland first, but they will often appear in other more convenient supermarkets eventually (e.g. K Market in Kamppi). If you don’t like big sterile shopping centres, this isn’t the place for you. However, you can head upstairs and outside to the William K in order to relax. Neither venue is really a reason to go to Espoo (only Gallows satisfies that need). “

“Lots of drunken people here. Crowded (at least on Sat night). Quite good range of basic beers available. Bartender didn’t know much about the beers. This is probably not the reason to visit Espoo.“

“Only been here as part of my home-designed William K pubcrawl. If you’re picking up beers in Sello, then you may as well pop in here too. However, being WIlliam K, there’s little out of the ordinary, so not worth heading out here specially.“

“Big supermarket with pretty good beer selection. It used to be even better, but it’s still pretty excellent. Sometimes there’s also some rarities. Today two Mikkellers on sale. The American Dream and Drink’in the Sun.“

“Quite typical William K. pub from the Oluthuone chain located in the Sello shopping centre in Leppävaara, Espoo. Decent selection but nothing special. Nice place to have a pint after a shopping day.“

“A big supermarket of K-Citymarket chain. This is located in Sello shopping mall in Espoo Leppävaara. Take a local train to Leppävaara, the mall is next to station. Inside same mall is William K beer pub. Currently Sello has the best selection of 4.7% or less beers in Finland. This includes some Finnish micros and beers from interesting brewers like Mikkeller. This is a decent shop for cheese etc. as well.“

“Good selection of beers usually not available in beer bars around town. The atmosphere is better now that smoking is not allowed. However, the clientele consists mostly of drunk older men who spend their entire day in this place and drunk young men who spend their entire day in this place. Plus for the games. The service is always good.“

“I liked this as it was actually my local when I lived in Finland. But it’s not a typical beer-lover’s haven, it’s just a local that happens to have well over 50 different bottled beers from around the world, which is most unusual in Espoo (Gallows Bird, that’s all I can think of). Maybe 10 from the UK, 5 from Germany and the Czech republic. Unfortunately it’s only got an ’A’ license - so there’s nothing stronger than 4.7% here.“
