“Think like a southeastern Horus mixed with Weldwerks, heavily adjuncted but very well done strong beers, hazies and some wacky fruited sours / seltzers. Place itself is surprisingly small given the hype I perceive this place to have. Beers were terrific, and easy enough to get some of their vintage beers as well. Definitely worth a stop if in the area (this was my #1 stop on a trip to Asheville).“

“Same area as Birds Fly South, with lots of food options in same complex. Meads are very good, especially the stronger ones. Flights available. Bottles to go.“

“Short stop on our way to the mountains, this small operation turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Taproom is just next to the homebrew supply shop and I guess brewing is done somewhere in the back. They had around 15 beers on tap, different styles. The quality was very good to excellent. I was impressed with their imperial stout, it's not easy to find a superb old school impy these days. Service was excellent. The owner was very friendly and had a chat with all the guests. He knows his beers and it was very nice to have a chat. Free snacks as well. One of the highlights of our South USA trip.“

“Eclectic interior. Strong beer list with decent mix of styles. Outside of the sours and strong malty options, beers weren't great. Stouts and barley wines were phenomenal though. Flights of 6. A few bottle options, including lucking out and getting some vintage stuff.“

“Visited 3/2020. It was Monday so after weekend they had only 4 of their own beers available on tap. Luckily one was IPA and one sour so I got a chance to taste their hyped beers and... they were quite good! Place itself gave me mixed feelings. Flight of four available for tickers!“

“Small and nondescript. Decent but oddball selection. High prices. Service wasn't great. Some decent snacks available. Easy parking. Kinda in the middle of nowhere. Not recommended unless you're local.“

“Very small taproom as part of brewing supply shop. Pretty wide selection for the size, but the taproom seems to be a secondary business to the rest. It jut doesn't stand out versus all the other area options.“

“Has more of a restaurant feel and a more polished appearance than other area breweries. Good selection of beer and food. Indoor and patio seating, several televisions. Overall the beers I have tasted are good and true to style,“

“This is the place to go in Greenville for some really wild beers. Funky collection of styles - some work and some are so different I wouldn't consider them beers! Many guest taps to complement their brews. They also have a nice menu of food. Interior kind of reminds me of a German biergarten with long tables.“

“I've visited a few times. The ambiance is pretty good, but the taste of the beers I tried leaves something to be desired. On my first trip, every beer I ordered came with a disclaimer from the bartender such as "this batch is a little off" or "too strong flavor from the barrel." Gave it a second try about a year later, taste of the beers was average at best.“

“An established brewery, established before taprooms were legal. The taproom looks like an afterthought. This brings down my overall rating. The beers are excellent and generally true to style - even styles that are not my favorite are well done.“

“Conveniently located on the I-85 corridor, this was a good place for me to stop on a cross-country drive to pick up some regional singles. Total Wine is Total Wine just about anywhere you go now -- decent selection, you can take a single of anything you want in most states. I left with a case full of things I can't get in Virginia or Louisiana.“

“I visited when this place was pretty new. I'm very impressed with how good the beer is already. They came out swinging. There's a great variety of lagers, American ales, Belgians, etc. Everything I had was top notch. The space is large with a giant patio out front as well. This is one of the few breweries you can easily hit just walking around downtown. If I'm ever back in Greenville I'd love to see how much they've grown. I'm not sure what else you'd want from a brewery around these parts.“

“Road Trip! I needed that SC place tick baby! This little place is in downtown Greenville. There is free parking in ramps, which is good cause street parking is a PITA. The space is very small, but packed with solid beer. I was pretty surprised at some of the things I found, including BA Ten Fidy stovepipes, Fonta Flora, bottles of Last Snow, and more. Really impressively packed selection. Plus they have a 16 tap growler fill station with a good mix of beers all available in sizes from half pour to growler fill. Prices grate, service laid back and friendly. Well worth a detour to check this place out.“

“I stopped in here mostly to look at homebrew supplies since they were open at 10am and I was on my way to Carolina Bauernhaus in Anderson. Turns out, this is one of the best beer stops in Greenville. Owner Ken has been homebrewing for 27 years, and has his license to sell beer in a cozy taproom next to the homebrew supply shop. He has four taps out front behind a small bar, and there a couch and few tables also. He has many more beers in the back. Flight of four 5 ounce pours are six bucks, and every beer I tried was solid. Ken is an IPA man, so that style featured heavily, but he had stouts and porters as well. He even has two barrels for aging. He is starting to try his hand at sours, but his first try was a bit rough, a second one he let me taste has more potential. It was an absolute pleasure to chat about beer in general and the local and regional beer scene over some tasty samples. Well worth a stop, and since it's right off I-85 (in Mauldin) it's an easier stop if you're passing through than going into Greenville itself.“

“Visited in 2015, just noticed that I forgot to add my place rating!?! I was such an amazing visit that I still remember it clearly. We arrived with fumes left in the car, because we were trying to make it before closing, and we made it with just 10 minutes to spare. We walk explained how we’d heard about them from RB and had driven in especially to see them and they were kind enough to stay open for us, so we buy some of their awesome selection of locals and rarities. We both took home more beer then our already stuffed to the gills car could handle, but hey, when you find a great beer store that goes out of there way to be very accommodating, that should be rewarded. Very highly recommended!“

“Located under the Mellow Mushroom, this newly opened pub looks as if it has been there for decades. Friendly if somewhat inefficient wait staff. Good salad. 4 house beers on tap reflect both traditional (porter) and innovative (a beet jasmine Citra IPA) styles. “

“Large place, 30 barrel system, in a light industrial business court off I-85 with unlimited parking. Corner bar in the front of the production facility. No a/c though, but they had a massive fan like you see in the movies, producing a gale force wind. Flights of four in small jars were available, one dollar upcharge for seasonals and some beers were not allowed in flights. Small number of guest taps. Food trailer available when we visited. Crowlers too. Worthwhile detour.“

“Put simply, this place is the stuff. Walk downstairs (under the related but completely different Barley’s, an excellent beer establishment in its own right) into a dark underground bar and you might as well be in a centuries-old European pub. The focus here is on Belgium, so a dozen or so on tap complemented by a well curated bottle list. A selection of wine and hand crafted cocktails are also available. If that weren’t enough, the food is excellent too - favorites include the several variations of mussels and frites (with multiple mayonnaise options), braised short ribs and the Flemish stew. It gets busy most nights but especially on weekends. If you can’t call ahead then shucks, you can sit at the bar while you wait for a table. These are Belgian beers after all though, so if you have to wait too long you might need a cab more than a seat for dinner.“

“This is a little cozy brewpub one block off the main street in the small quiet north-western PA village of Greenville, very quite. East to find and plenty of parking. Unobtrusive view from the street, inside this place is charmingly small and rustic. Friendly with a few TV’s and a small bar that seats about 6. Plenty of tables on the floor. Yes, a little bar with very friendly help. The only food they have are these delicious pulled pork or ox barbecue sandwiches. Side dishes include soup and stout chili. Free popcorn if you want it as well. They normally have 6-7 of their own beers on tap but they only had four on the friday night I stopped there. They also serve local wine. Not bad, something different to do in a small town on a friday evening.“

“Our first stop on an Atlanta weekend. Great choice too. Small store, two small rooms jam packed with good bottles. Just two tables so we stood at the growler fill station and chatted to staff. Pints and half pours of everything at the growler station are possible, or you can drink bottles in house. No food. Staff were terrific, prices were good. Loved it.“

“Visited on a busy Saturday evening. Really cool spot, definitely the type of place that is up my alley. Dark lighting, lots of brick and wood, a very enjoyable atmosphere. Around 16 beers on tap and lots more in the bottle. Prices were a little high, but expected for a place that focuses on belgian beers. I didn’t have dinner, but the menu looked delicious and worth checking out in the future. Service wasn’t great, but they were pretty busy. Servers seemed to be pretty snobby to people who came in without reservations. Overall, though, really cool place, definitely wish there were more places like this around that give you a belgian experience. Next time I’m in Greenville, I’ll return.“

“Visited on a busy Saturday evening. 2-story pub, with dining and a bar on the main floor and another bar with pool tables and games on the second floor. Different selections of beer at the two different bars. Pretty good selection, but the majority of the taps weren’t too exciting for me (being from Charlotte, I was hoping to find a good selection of beers that were unique for SC), but I was surprised and happy to find a Creature Comforts and a Cigar City on tap.“

“Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Pretty small store, but they make good use of the space. A very nice selection, and prices seemed pretty good. Growler filling station with 16 taps. Sounds like if you are from out of town, they can ship you any beers that you pick out. Great place to check out and right near other good beer places.“

“Very large selection, especially for those seeking singles. Lowest price signs are scattered about but this is not true in most cases. Coming here today from the Whole foods across the blvd., I was able to compare a couples of prices, and Whole Foods was cheaper on both items. The not-low prices are bumped up again if buying singles rather than 4- or 6-packs. Warehouse atmosphere and service. They do have some beers, especially imports, that I have not seen elsewhere in the state.“

“The taproom is right in the warehouse that houses the brewery. While I generally like this arrangement it was quite noisy much of the time, but then I arrived before Quittin time. Additional seating available in the back where there’s a large but uncovered concrete patio. Some games add to the appeal, including a foosball table. Growlers and 32 oz crowlers to go.“

“So stopped in here due to having best pizza in Delaware on some list that i saw. In a standard plaza but then its decorated like old Victorian place. very unexpected and nice kind of fancier than expected. the food is fantastic i had blue crab and artichoke pizza. Anyways another reason to come is that they have a brewery as well which i didn’t know until arriving. Frozen Toes Brewing so if you want these beers and delicious food come here. They had 3 frozen toes beers on, 3 more local deleware brews,2 standard craft offerings and 2 macros on tap.“

“Underground pub with a cool old world vibe, but something about it seems unfinished - i couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but it seemed like they were trying to transport you to belgium but couldn’t quite succeed in getting you to forget you were in South Carolina - neat draft system suspended from the ceiling - not a lot of drafts, but a well-selected assortment of import and domestic Belgian styles - drafts are small pours for high prices, but that’s fairly common with Belgians - still, it’s sometimes hard to justify paying six bucks for 5 ounces of beer - they had the Dupont smoked beer on tap, which was cool, but I had to pay nine bucks for a glass - the bottle list looks impressive at first glance, but does not have anything anyone with beer knowledge wouldn’t consider common and easy to attain - staff was decent enough, but not exactly what I would consider "friendly" - I did not eat, as I had just been to Barley’s, but the food looked good - a cool spot - nice to see a place like this in the south.“
