“Visited 4/5/2018. Fabulous setting next to the imposing 8 sailed Heckington windmill (which is incidentally the only 8 sailed tower windmill with its sails intact in th UK). This visit was a Friday early evening and bar was open until 8pm, and starting to get busy when we arrived at 4pm. Warmly welcomed, and had a good chat with Steve and Tony, the brewer and proprietor, and got an impromptu Brewery tour. The small bar (which you walk through to get to the brewery) had 3 casks on offer (the one I tried from 8 Sail was in very good condition), seating for 10-20 people and also houses the Brewery shop (2 shelf units in the corner) with a dozen or so of their bottles plus 3 local ciders. Lots of seating outside. Big car park. Well worth a visit if in the area especially if the bar is open.“

“Visited on 24th May 2014 with my dad during a small ’Mild Festival’. Right next door to the windmill and 100 yards from the railway station. Little cafe for food across the yard, we didn’t bother though. Basic shop area at the front selling local ciders as well as their own bottled and 9 pint mini-kegs of beer. On my visit the brewing area was open to walk around and a stillage had eight barrels of beer on offer to try at £2.50 a pint. Seems to be a two man set-up, friendly and chatty, one of the guys knew my father from his RAF days: small world.“
