“First of all, please note that this isn't in Enderby proper but rather in Everards Meadows, south of Fosse Park and North of the police constabulary. Big, bright and modern, the newly opened beer hall is doing some impressive business. I thought I'd sneak on a Monday mid-afternoon and the place, while not heaving, had very few free tables. Despite the name, it really is more of an eatery than a drinking establishment, although you are allowed to drink only (I'm wondering if drinkers will be catered to a bit more once COVID restrictions are over). Now, most of the beer, unsurprisingly, is Everards. It's decent stuff if a bit traditional, and you might get ticks here (they do a lager and a slightly stronger Tiger Reserve that I'd not seen elsewhere, and there are monthly keg specials). It's hard to find the names of everything - the affable staff just aren't that knowledgeable about the beer (again it isn't a beer place). Plus they were out of the APA and the IPA. I'd love Everards to push the boat out a bit more, but even their experimental side seems safe. They also have a few other widely available keg beers and some Big Drop bottles. The food is good if on the dear side. There is also an Everards shop attached but it doesn't really carry anything but their core range (and 5-litre minicasks of some specials). Honestly, it's not a must, but if you are in the area it would make a nice lunch or dinner venue.“

“Visited on the afternoon of Saturday 16th March 2019. Single roomed former newsagents that's been going for around a year and has already won CAMRA awards. 4 gravity cask, 5 key keg and 3 bladder bag ciders so plenty to go at here ... throw in a few cans from the likes of Three Hills, Loka Polly, Northern Monk and a few others. The tap selection was also well curated ... not one of these micropubs where its just 2 bitters and 2 golds ... the casks were an APA, a session IPA, a meaty 6% porter and a bitter ... on keg we had a SIPA, a DIPA, 3 APA's (one changed whilst I was there) and a lager (Shiny re-badge as house lager) ... so pretty much all style spectrums you'd expect ticked (sours aside) and plenty of hops for the new age drinker! Clientele was all locals and the place was quiet to start with on our arrival at 1430 but was pretty busy by the time we left at 1800. Service was prompt and friendly and the owner knew his beers. Food wise there were home made sandwiches, pork pies, scotch eggs and sausage rolls (the latter at a pound a pop) and don't forget as per the name of the venue they also sell coffee (which smelt good on our arrival) and a number of cake/brownie type offerings to accompany this line. As jjsint says, a little off the beaten track ... there are buses to Leicester or you could hop off the train at Narborough (on the Leicester - Coventry / Birmingham line) which is about half an hours walk away, but well worth the trek ! My kind of micropub !!!“

“It's so exciting to find a place like this. It is out of the way but worth a trek out of town. A smallish one-room pub which reverberates with the hum of conversation. Four cask beers on gravity with a few keg as well. Langton, Elusive, Cloudwater, Pipes and Deya are some of the breweries showcased. The cask is in perfect condition and everything is very reasonably priced. If this was in the city centre it'd be rammed - as it is it's comfortably steady on a winter Thursday afternoon. One of the better micropubs in the area.“
